It is a beautiful cottage in a really peaceful location. It is really well situated for Newborough beach and forest. There is a lot to do within 15 minutes drive of the cottage including the Sea Zoo and Plas Newydd. The cottage is very well equipped. We will definitely be back.

“We have been before and really enjoyed it as always however, it could do with a little attention now.”

The door to the back garden is very stiff and is very tricky to lock. The furniture in the sunroom is very tired, the base of the seats have fallen through on most of the chairs. The TV in the playroom receives no signal so can only be used for xbox etc It could do with a deep clean ie under furniture However, all this said, the house is amazing, extremely comfortable and has everything you need to feel like home. It is perfect for families and dogs are welcome which is great. In a lovely area just a perfect place to relax. I would highly recommend this house.

The door mentioned has been fixed, the TV in the playroom has a stand alone aerial which has been tested and is working, along with the X-box and Nintendo to make it a fun chill out space for kids. We have chatted with the Housekeeper and have made adjustments to the cleaning approach as we pride ourselves on the cleanliness and welcoming nature of the property. We are making several updates to the property over the winter - some new furnishings, redecorating and updating parts all around the house, so we really hope you come back next year to have another relaxing holiday at Dolwaeynydd. The house is fully kitted out with games and beach things. My only gripe would be to leave the guests plenty of toilet roll.

The property

A beautifully converted country farmhouse offering character, quality, luxury and every modern convenience on the southern coast of Anglesey.

Combined with a lovely terrace and garden, rolling rural views, this is a perfect place for family and friends to join together to relax and enjoy the area or for a special celebration. The kitchen is fully equipped with an AGA, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee machine.The washing machine/dryer are located in separate utility, there is also a dining area with a lovely wooden dining table and chairs. The sitting room has comfortable sofas and chairs set around a wood burning stove and a Smart TV, there is a second seating area is in the large conservatory which offers ample seating and French windows that open on to the terrace and there is a Smart TV in here too.There is also a play room/snug with a sofa bed and Smart TV. On the ground floor there is a cloakroom with loo and wash hand basin. The bedrooms consist of a master room with a king sized bed, flat screen TV and ensuite a power shower, loo and wash hand basin.There is another bedroom with a king sized bed and two twin bedrooms. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, loo and wash hand basin. The outside space is just wonderful as you’re surrounded by glorious Welsh countryside!

There’s a large terrace with lighting, garden furniture and a barbecue area which is ideal for gathering the clan together on warm summer evenings and a large lawned area, great for family games!

There is plenty of parking available. A short drive will take you to Newborough Forest, home to the red squirrel and the raven.Beyond the forest you have the sand dunes, with rare flora and an abundance of birdlife.Newborough Beach is long and sandy and romantic Llanddwyn Island is just beyond.Or maybe if you want to venture a little further afield a trip to the lovely village of Beaumaris with its castle, pier and lovely sea front, and the wonderful Red Boat ice-cream shop! Dolwaenydd is the perfect base to explore North Wales.

A small village nestled on the banks of the Menai Straits on the Isle of Anglesey. Brynsiencyn is small yet delightful, hosting a shop, Post Office, a lovely village pub, a cafe and a takeaway. The village boasts some incredible views towards the delightful town of Caernarfon over the Menai Straits and even the dominant Snowdonia Mountain Range in the distance. There is plenty to do on the thriving island of Anglesey, the popular attractions of Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm are just a stones throw away, apart from this there are tonnes of spectacular beaches and history to be discovered. The tourist destinations of Beaumaris, Bangor and Caernarfon are all nearby and are all well worth a visit.
