    “Had a lovely stay at Sundowner.”

    The weather was mixed but the view from the chalet over the lake was beautiful in all weathers. The central heating was an added bonus.

Step along the private decking and into the snug living/dining area of the chalet, relax and take in the lovely elevated views or curl up on the sofa with a book.Gather around the table to talk over the days’ adventures, or sit on the balcony decking whilst the barbecue sizzles in the summer months to bring everyone together, the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset.The contemporary-styled kitchenette holds everything you could need to rustle up all your favourite meals.

When the evening draws to a close, choose from the double room or the triple bunk to retire to ahead of your fun-filled days to catch up on your rest and get ready for the next day.

There is an on-site shop and bar & restaurant, as well as a public access swimming pool and a children's play area, or if you want to wander a little further afield why not head into the royal town of Caernarfon, with its great choice of places to eat and drink, its lovely little shops and of course its impressive castle, or find the terminus for the Snowdon Mountain Railway which can be found in Llanberis, take a trip to the Isle of Anglesey for a day out with a difference and choose to sun soak on one of its many renowned beaches before taking a boat tour of Puffin Island, or maybe tackle part of the Coastal path, safe in the knowledge you have a warm and cosy chalet to return to.

Settled close to Snowdonia National Park with its magnificent views and walks for all abilities, Sundowner is perfectly positioned for exploring all of the wonders of North Wales.

About the location

CAERNARFON

Llanberis 8 miles; Bangor 9 miles.

Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is close to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including the renowned mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
