    It felt like home from home. Location is very central for visiting north wales. Kathleen the owner is very friendly and helpful, can't recommend this cottage enough. Would definitely return.

Here you will find the stylish, U-shaped kitchen, a space boasting blue units hosting integrated appliances and an adjoining breakfast bar, where you can savour a romantic meal together.

As the evening draws in curl up with your loved one on the plush sofa, whilst you recount the day's adventures, sip a glass of wine and catch up with your favourite programmes on the Smart TV.

In the warmer months, venture out to the patio for a spot of alfresco dining cooked on the built in barbecue, with the amazing backdrop of Snowdonia in the distance.

Enjoy a trip on the Welsh Highland Railway, which lets you explore the beautiful scenery of the area in a different way and taking you all the way to the town of Porthmadog, well-worth a venture for its charming atmosphere, delightful views, and easy access to the Italianate village of Portmeirion.

The town of Caernarfon itself hosts plenty of amenities to assist you on a self-catered stay including local shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as, fishing trips from the harbour, a popular activity for all ages.

About the location

CAERNARFON

Llanberis 8 miles; Bangor 9 miles.

Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is close to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including the renowned mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
