“Lovely property warm and comfortable in a great location.”

Comfy sofas bed and pillows etc. Brilliant bathroom and kitchen. However we felt that it could benefit from a good bottoming with regards housekeeping and up keep. There where cobwebs many between the side table and the bed, under wasn't very clean when my partner dropped his black shorts they where covered in fluff. There is two cracked floor tiles in the kitchen that where moving when walked on and the grout is missing . There is the same in the bathroom. The two logs left for the fire didn't seem adequate for one use. On accessing the garden there where refuse bags of what looked like paper towels discarded in the log store. We where not given any hand towels. There where no bin bags and the washing up liquid fancy dispenser was almost empty and the matching hand wash one left in situ, but completely empty. If these items are not usually provided then I would have thought they should have been removed, for them to be left we felt that it left a sense of rudeness and that we wasn't important enough for it to matter. The bottle of wine was a nice gesture but as access is not granted till after 4pm some tea and milk would have been more useful. This is the only property we have stayed in that has had no welcome pack of bare essentials, and only 1 loo roll. Last but not least the cupboard where the washing machine was housed was dirty and the front of the washing dito. This did not detract from the fact the house is a lovely house tasteful and comfortable, and quite liveable with these niggles as a home but I would expect better when we are paying for a stay here. We still had a lovely week and came home refreshed.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very pleased that you had a restful stay. Feedback is very important to us to ensure that we can keep standards high at Cosy Cottage and as a result of your comments we have followed up with the housekeeping staff and will be having some maintenance completed to the flooring.
