This charming holiday cottage is nestled amidst the North Wales village of Llanddona, home to a long sandy beach, which forms the eastern end of Red Wharf Bay.

This rustic bolthole is hidden away between Benllech and Beaumaris has been designed to offer a romantic getaway or a small family break, ideal for those wishing to explore the Isle of Anglesey.

Enter into the property and be welcomed into the kitchen, boasting a sleek balance of rustic and charm, where you will find a gas hob, table top oven, a microwave, a toaster and a fridge, as well as a Belfast sink and plenty of space for you to rustle up a delicious snack.

From here, you will step into the sitting room, where you can look forward to sinking into the armchairs with a book in hand during a winter’s evening, with the woodburning stove crackling in the background as your soundtrack.

Completing the ground floor is an additional sitting room, where you can cosy up with your partner on the sofa, tuck into your home-cooked meal or pull open the map and plan the next walking route.

Climb the stairs to catch your rest, choose from a double bedroom with plenty of storage to house your things and space to prepare for your day in style, while the single bedroom is a snug spot, ideal for any younger guests.

To the exterior of the cottage is a quaint garden area, where during a balmy afternoon you can look forward to taking your dining experience outdoors and savour a glass of wine, as you catch the final glimpses of the sunshine.

If you manage to tear yourself away from this truly charming property, take a short stroll into the village and while away a couple of hours in the pub or travel slightly further afield to Beaumaris where you will find a shop for picking up the essentials and a selection of eateries.

For days when you are not lazing on the glorious sands of Llanddona, immerse yourself in Beaumaris’ fascinating history, by spending time at the castle and the Victorian jail, before venturing to the sea front, where fishing trips and boat trips to Puffin Island are available.

Alternatively, travel to the beautiful Newborough Beach, where you can walk along the glorious sand and admire the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in the distance before exploring the enchanting Ynys Llanddwyn, a small tidal island.

Other days out include a trip to Holyhead where you can catch a ferry to Dublin or if you are feeling adventurous; explore the wonder of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Beaumaris 6.5 miles.

Along the northeast coast of Anglesey is the very large (4.5 mile-long) bay of Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name of Traeth Coch (Red Beach) rining true as the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow, and at low tide almost 10 square miles of sand is uncovered to provides safe bathing, perfect for family fun, fishing and miles of stunning, scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 3 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris, which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely buildings housing excellent shops, olde-worlde pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a beautiful location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey.
