The property

Set back from the coast and surrounded by countryside is this semi-detached stone cottage, Homestead, within the village of LLangaffo on the Isle of Anglesey.

Offering quality holiday accommodation for a family or group of six, the property is beautifully furnished throughout and has a lovely homely feel.

Surrounded by classic style furnishings for you to settle into is the large stone fireplace with a woodburning stove set within it, warming up the room as you gather with the group in this spacious room.

For a grander setting, head into the dining room where a large dining table rests beneath chandeliers and finely upholstered chairs can seat everyone so you can gather for a celebratory meal.

Volunteer to cook up a hearty breakfast for the group in the morning within the beautifully presented kitchen, with wooden units containing all the appliances you need including a fantastic range cooker with a gas hob.

On the first floor you can find one of the most elegant sleeping spots in Anglesey, as the king-size bedroom benefits from a delicate colour scheme, with feature wallpaper, and graceful touches including a large grand mirror and a chandelier beneath the exposed beams.

Benefiting from its own balcony, as well as, its own en-suite shower room, the master king-size bedroom has rich reds and a more rustic theme.

The final bedroom is the bunk room where pleasant boating themes adorn the walls.

Make use of the rustic pizza oven and make some home made magic for a wonderful summer evening meal, gather outside at the outdoor furniture and enjoy a refreshing drink before you eat.

The rural surroundings make for gorgeous walking ground, or head to nearby Newborough Beach in the car and have a beach day, with the renowned Llanddwyn Island well worth a visit too.

The seaside village of Rhosneigr awaits those who love watersports, with a sweet selection of pubs and shops to enjoy too, or head in the other direction to see Plas Newydd or take a Rib Ride on the Menai Strait.

Homestead is a wonderfully presented cottage and a perfect place to delight in the beauty of Anglesey.

About the location

Newborough 2 miles; Gaerwen 4 miles.

Llangaffo is a small village situated between Gaerwen and Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. The village has views of the Menai Straits and the mountains of Snowdonia, and contains a local store and post office. It is also home to St Caffo’s Church which dates back to 1846 and was named after a 6th century saint who was killed nearby. Just two miles away is the village of Newborough which lies on the edge of forests and dunes, and is home to a population of red squirrels, one of only two colonies on Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers, as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The famous Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, is within half a mile of the village centre and makes a fun day out for the whole family, and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Tacla Taid, the old vehicle museum and Foel Farm are nearby.
