“We found our stay in three gates both delightful and disappointing.”

The cottage is situated in outstandingly beautiful surroundings, its utterly peaceful and blissfully quiet. The cottage is delightful, however, we did find issues with cleanliness for example, cobwebs where everywhere, there were hairs in the shower tray, the shower doors were dirty. The mattress has seen its day and needs changing, we could feel the springs. We had to shake the bed linen each evening as it was covered in small black bits, not sure if this was falling from the ceiling? But it ...

But it wasn't very pleasant. The log burner has a hole in the flue which makes for a very expensive stay, as it burns way to fast and eats the logs and finally the rug in front of the fire really needs cleaning desperately. If these few things could be changed/cleaned our stay would of been 5*, it was such a shame as like I say the cottage itself is delightful and where it is is just perfect.

Hi there, Pleased you loved house and location. Sorry about your other issues. If we had been made aware of these we could have made all good. Thank You Vera Was the window open when you had log burner on. This might account for black specs ? Property Owner

The property

This unique little holiday cottage, located on the south eastern corner of Anglesey, offers simple comforts in a most delightful way.

We love the hand made swallows in flight on the vaulted ceiling.

A combination of slate flags, quarry tiles, wood flooring, reclaimed doors, artwork, vintage accessories and a lovely peaceful location with views - it is a delight. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, larder fridge and freezer, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

There is a dining table and four dining chairs. The sitting room has a comfortable sofa and chairs, woodburning stove set in an inglenook and a flat screen TV.There is a downstairs shower, loo and wash hand basin.Stairs from the kitchen diner lead up to the bedroom.

There is a small double bed and a single bed. There is a small reading area with chair and lamp on the gallery / balcony overlooking the kitchen diner. The large garden has a variety of seating options and there is space for parking.

"Three Gates is the latest little gem from Vera who has converted this little bothy in her unique and inimitable way!" There is a footpath leading down to the beach (approximate 20 minute walk) and you are only a 10 minute drive away from Beaumaris with a good variety of pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops and attractions. If there are more than 2 in your party then you can also book Ty Felin next door, which sleeps 5.

Note: As the name implies you reach the cottage along a farm track that has 3 farm gates which you will have to open and close every time. Not suitable for very low cars.
Note: This property is not suitable for people with mobility impairments.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
