The property

Tucked away in the charming hamlet of Bodorgan, Anglesey is a lovely, three-bedroom holiday home, The Old School House.

After parking up, cross the threshold into your new home-from-home to be impressed by the light and airy sitting room, neatly-adorned with a Smart TV and woodburning stove so you and your loved ones can curl up on cooler evenings and savour some light entertainment.

In the well-equipped kitchen, allow the budding chef to uncover a superb range of appliances to rustle up a culinary delight for the whole family to be enjoyed at the dining table or outside in the enclosed garden; soak in your surroundings a little while long and pop open a bottle of fizz, before taking a dip in the bubbling hot tub, perfect for soaking your legs at the end of a long day.

When the stars appear overhead, retreat back inside to wash away the day in the stunning family bathroom, taking the time for a long soak or warm shower before completing your evening routine and catching your well-earned rest in one of three charming bedrooms.

In the morning, wake rejuvenated ready to commence your planned itinerary, starting with a visit to the historic Bodorgan Estate, featuring stunning woodland walks, gardens and pretty views where you and your family can enjoy a serene picnic.

Visit the nearby Aberffraw Beach, relish a leisurely stroll along the shore, relax on the sands or take a dip in the sea, before ending back at the Tafarn Y Joiners for some tasty grub and a cold beverage!

Further afield, spend the day exploring Newborough Forest and Warren, or take a short drive to the National Trust property, Plas Newydd, a stately home and gardens with breathtaking views of the Menai Strait.

With the charming town of Caernarfon also within accessible reach, in addition to the delights of the Eryri National Park, you’ll have plenty to fill your days.

Bodorgan is a sleepy hamlet set in rural Anglesey on the outskirts of Aberffraw and Malltraeth, where you will find some lovely popular sandy beaches and the famous Llanddwyn Island and its lighthouse. Just a scenic drive away is the Snowdonia National Park, which can be seen from the hamlet’s coast. The area is superb for walking, with a range of coastal routes, as well as countryside rambles to be enjoyed amongst the luscious greenery of Anglesey. Not too far from Bodorgan is Llyn Parc Mawr Community Woodland, an ideal spot for walkers and anyone looking for a picnic patch. Further attractions can be found all over the isle, with a range of activities for all ages, such as the Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm Park and the Anglesey Model Village and Cafe. Just over the Menai Bridge are the popular towns of Caernarfron, Bangor, and Conwy for more days out within easy reach.
