    Have enjoyed several holidays in North Wales with Menai Estates and Awel Mon jumps to the top of our list of favourites. One minor issue, we had problems opening the key safe to return the key on departure. Rang the caretaker who confirmed she had a spare key so we posted the house key through the letter box on departure.

The property

Ideally situated on the east coast Marianglas is less than a mile away from the beach at Traeth Bychan from where you have the choice of heading either north or south on the Anglesey Coastal Path.

South leads to Benllech with its fine beach and facilities for a great family day or head north to Moelfre renowned both for the Din Lligwy Ancient Settlement, the Lligwy Burial Chamber and the Moelfre Lifeboat Station.

Marianglas itself has a woodland area crisscrossed with paths and an abundance of wildlife, including red squirrels that have been spotted in the garden on several occasions. With central heating, a lovely wood burning stove and all comforts catered for this is an ideal destination autumn, spring, summer and winter! The sitting room is a good size with two sofas and an armchair set around a wood burning stove.

The conservatory, just off the sitting room, has a sofa which you can relax in and have views of the front garden. The dining area is to the back of the sitting room with table and chairs seating six. The modern, well equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster. The inner hallway has a cosy reading space for one with a a window overlooking the garden, there’s a chair to sit in along with a bookcase containing books for you to read.

This is a great little spot for whiling away a quiet hour with a cuppa! The large master bedroom has it’s own en-suite shower room which has a large shower cubicle, loo and wash hand basin.

The second bedroom has a Queen sized bed that can be split into two singles on request.

There is also a further twin bedroom.

The beds will be made made up as advertised, if you would like a different bed configuration please request when making a booking Family bathroom has bath with shower over, loo and wash hand basin. At the front of the bungalow there’s a lawned and paved area with a drive and parking for up to three cars.

At the back of Awel Mon, there’s an enclosed garden with a lawn and a patio area, perfect for sitting out on with your morning cup of tea, or evening nightcap! As well as Benllech and great beaches being nearby, you can also head towards Moelfre which has Din Lligwy ancient settlement, a burial chamber and the Lifeboat Station.

Marianglas, the village in which you’ll find this fab holiday bungalow, has a woodland which has paths you can walk and wildlife including red squirrels.

You’ll make happy holiday memories at Awel Mon.

MARIANGLAS

Quaint and peaceful hamlet between Moelfre and Benllech on the east coast of Anglesey. Take a short stroll to Traeth Bychan with its popular beach and cafe. You can hire a kayak and take in the sights of the bay. Nearby Benllech and Moelfre are a short drive away. Easy accesible to the Coastal Path, you could head off to Lligwy Beach, or pop along to the see the old Roman ruins and the Neolithic Burial Chamber. Head over to Beaumaris or Menai Bridge for some lovely shops and fab places to eat.
