“Best dog friendly cottage we have stayed in - this was our third stay.”

Great location and views. Owner respects your privacy but on hand if needed.

The property

If you are looking for a run of the mill holiday cottage to stay in then this is not for you! "A quirky waterside retreat where you can watch the ebb & flow of the tide over breakfast.

You can even spot the native red squirrels roaming around the garden." The Boathouse is a delightful bijoux residence sitting at the bottom of the pretty garden of Cadnant Gate on the edge of the Menai Strait near the town of Menai Bridge.

It overlooks the sea towards the main land and to the Menai suspension bridge.

The owner lives quietly at the top of the garden, so you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity without treading on each other's toes.

The boathouse is a large, open plan room with a cosy sitting corner (in the winter you can draw the curtains to make it even snugger).

The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that this little holiday cottage is warm and comfortable all year round by adding secondary glazing. A small galley kitchen with a Belfast sink, electric hot plate, microwave combi oven and fridge with ice compartment (do not expect a fitted kitchen - this is a kitchen fitted in, but is perfectly adequate).

Shower room with shower, loo and wash hand basin, electric heater.

For the occasional extra guests there is a futon and a sprung sofa bed that can be curtained off. If you want peace, calm, something quite different and quirky in beautiful surroundings, this is the house for you!
