“We had another wonderful week at Brig Y Don.”
My parents really love sitting watching the view and it is so central to everything we need. The perfect spot for a week away. We bought some extra wine glasses as there were not enough for 6 people to all have wine at the same time. Sadly there was also a lacking of suitable glasses for a beer or G&T but we made do with what we found. Other than that the kitchen is amazingly stocked with equipment. We also bought some logs as there were none on arrival which was a shame. I really loved your cleaning products and took a photo to see whether I could order them once we are back home. Brig Y Don really is a stunning home which you must be very proud of. Thank you for letting us stay with you again, we hope to return in the not so distant future.- Katie, June 2022
“Our 3rd stay here and we once again had a lovely week .”
Lovely house, very comfortable and spectacular views .- Gill, May 2022
“Location facilities peace and quiet to recharge batteries”- Richard, October 2021
“Lovely house with views of the Menai Bridge.”
Parking is an issue sometimes but did manage to park behind the house most of the time. Nicely decorated throughout but mattresses where uncomfortable and would also recommend a tumble drier to be fitted in the upstairs utility room.- Sharon, August 2021
“Stayed end August family of 6 with a dog.”
Amazing views. Great location to explore Anglesea. Highly recommend- Clare, August 2021
“Our second visit to Brig-y-Don and it didn't disappoint!”
So relaxing watching the ever changing Straits and visiting beautiful locations. We had a couple of wonderful meals at Dylan's and 'The Liverpool Arms' Beaumaris. The house is so well equipped and comfortable, we are so sorry to leave. Hopefully we will make it a third visit next year.- Philip, August 2021
“Most beautiful location and home… clean and well equipped for all our needs”- Carly, July 2021
“Perfect holiday home.”
The views are stunning. Sparkling clean. Easy parking at back of house.- David, July 2021
“Brig Y Don is a beautiful property with exceptional views of the Menai Straits.”
The house had everything you needed and provided us with space and comfort. The only negative point would be the parking. We weren't able to have our car outside the back of the property as the neighbour's cars were permanently there. This was only an issue on our arrival as it was raining so made unpacking in an unfamiliar place a little stressful with my elderly parents. However once we have familiarised ourselves with the local roads we were happy with where we could park up, there are plenty of spaces a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend this property and we all hope to return soon. Thank you.- Katie, May 2021
“This holiday house and it's location was everything I hoped it would be.”
We wanted to enjoy the view of the bridge every day and watch the Strait.....and that's what we did. So lucky with weather. Cups of tea in the sunshine on the little front terrace, bird, seal and watersports spotting was the chilled time we hoped for. Lovely to run early in the quiet and cross the bridge too for fab views. So easy to visit so many places on the Island from here. Booked as a special treat and it was.- Katherine, September 2020
“What an amazing view!”
There was nothing better each morning than waking up to the amazing view if the Menai Straits. The house was beautiful and well equipped with everything needed for a family. We had some lovely walks out with our dog and ventured further afield to Beaumaris and Llandudno to see the sights. Highly recommend!- Leanne, August 2020
“Main issue was with Parking, other than that we had a fantastic time”- John, August 2020
“This is the second time we have visited Brig Y Don.”
We love it. It is so relaxing to sit and watch the Menai come and go. The property is utterly beautiful. Very highly recommended.- Kath, July 2020
“A really nice house with wonderful views of the Menai Straits my son and his wife were running in the Anglesey 10 K and the whole field ran past the house so we had great views also the weather on the day was very good.”
Overall a really good few days we would certainly come again.- Michael, February 2020
“The cottage was spacious, really well equipt and nicely decorated.”
The view over the Menai Straits is a fantadtic, especially during a storm. We loved the wood burning stove.- Gillian, February 2020
“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brig y Don.”
We wouldn’t normally spend this much on a short break however were very glad we did! All adults and children enjoyed the break and the views are second to none. Lovely walks /restaurants/local pubs and Waitrose all very close- favourite place to eat was Dylan’s! We didn’t venture very far as didn’t need to with the area being so beautiful. Only minor point was that we didnt find the double beds very comfortable however this is of course individual preference! All in all, a super, relaxing break and we hope to return in the near future.- Emma, December 2019
“The Location of this holiday home was magical and overall the comfort of the place was good.”
The only things we would suggest, would be the need for more mirrors in the house (i.e a long length. Maybe better mattresses, they were a bit too firm. But I suppose that in a way is personal preference. In addition a think a parking permit would be helpful for two cars to park outside of house and that the neighbours don't steal your spaces. We would definitely go back to Brig Y Don in the near future though, You don't see a priceless view like that everyday! and we all felt very at home in this place. thank you :)- Nicole, October 2019
“We were so pleasure with this property and it’s location, it was everything it said and more!”
We ranged from aged 80+ to a 2year old and all our needs were met here. Highlight was dolphin watching from the patio- Verity, August 2019
“Great holiday cottage in a fantastic position overlooking the Iconic Menai Bridge.”
Well equipped and very comfortable. No parking to the front of the property but good access from the rear of the property. Great circular walking route along the Belgian Prom just outside your door and easy access to the town centre and Restaurants.- , Nov 2018
“Whot a place with a view excelant”- Karen Reynolds, Oct 2018
“The magical view is what makes this house.”
It does smell a little musty but luckily we could sit out on the front patio and watch the boats and bridge Parking was an issue as sometimes the road side space was taken.- , Sep 2018
“Nice position and spotlessly clean.”
Storage area as you entered the property from the main door could have been a bit better presented and the parking was a little awkward at times. The view from the front windows was superb and we would certainly consider staying there again.- Philip Morgan, Aug 2018

Brig Y Don holiday house used to belong to an artist.
It was where a lot of the artist's works were completed and you can find small hints of this as you wander around. During the incredible refurbishment many of the original features have been kept, making sure the fabulous character of the house has not been lost.
One of our favourite parts of Brig Y Don is how much of the house looks out to the ever-changing Menai Strait.
You can truly relax and unwind whilst you watch the world pass by on the busy waters.
It is a really special house, a modern interior and we must say the most breath-taking views! "This is the perfect house to relax and soak up the views of boats sailing under the splendid Menai Suspension Bridge, stroll into town for something to eat and enjoy the interesting shops.
This is one house that has everything within an easy grasp." A great location for exploring both Anglesey and Snowdonia, and you can enjoy all that the little town of Menai Bridge has to offer.
From the doorstep take a walk along the Menai Strait to Church Island where you will see plenty of wildlife or admire the views from the Telford Suspension Bridge.
Interesting individual shops and lots of interesting restaurants and cafes will mean you're never far from a perfect pit stop!
