“We chose Melin y Coed for a special anniversary, we loved everything about it and even though the weather could have been kinder we managed to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful peaceful surroundings, the wildlife was a joy to watch, 5 baby cygnets, two Mallard families with 8 and 11 chicks respectively, we just watched them grow over the holiday and the sound of the river was just so relaxing.”

Lovely, comfortable home with everything you could need, spotless bedding and towels although we did find 13.5 tog duvets far too warm for June but that's our personal opinion and we just took them out. After staying at Melin y Coed would anywhere else match it?, we would love to return and thank you so much to the owners for having us! Apart from the holiday I would like to say a big thank you to all the girls I have dealt with from Menai in Brynsiencyn who have been so helpful over the past two years, wonderful customer service.

The property

Melin y Coed holiday cottage is a luxurious mill conversion on the bank of the River Cadnant, an inlet of the Menai Straits near Menai Bridge.

It enjoys lovely waterside views, and if you can bear to close the curtains in the evening you can relax in front of a warm fire, far from the busy outside world!

In the garden is a wonderful balcony, where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife and the peaceful riverside location. "Sitting on the edge of the tidal Cadnant creek, this is such a nice house in a great location.

A short walk to Menai Bridge and the wonderful Hidden Garden just next door." This lavish and beautifully decorated house has been modernised to the highest standard.

The high-quality furnishings have been carefully chosen, while the hand-made kitchen forms the delightful hub of the house. A cosy and sociable holiday house, Melin y Coed is on the outskirts of the bustling coastal town of Menai Bridge on Anglesey.

It makes a charming holiday home both in summer and winter.
