“Stayed at Bay View many times, excellent stay as always”- Dawn, May 2022
“This is a super place to stay.”
Moelfre is delightful although small, which is part of its charm. The coastal path is literally ‘just round the corner’ and you can visit the RNLI museum and shop too. A pub, café and fish shop cater for most requirements. The village shop is well stocked and pleasant. There are a couple of gift shops and a quaint yarn shop. The cottage is homely and full of character. The views from virtually every window are stunning and with good weather, the garden and patio area are a must . You can easily visit the area from here and there are ample shops just a short drive away in Benllech.- Jo, October 2021
“Beautiful location and views.”
Cottage well equipped. However, it needs a lot of TLC. Cleaning is perfunctory. Too much furniture means 4 adults sit in 2 rows to watch TV Thought needs to be given to layout to make more comfortable and a good clean would enhance the property- Carol, September 2021
“The location of this cottage is really lovely and this outweighs the minor shortcomings of the accommodation.”
We would be very happy to stay here again.- Angus, September 2021
“Bay View was absolutely beautiful, definitely the loveliest place we've ever stayed in Moelfre.”
The view from the garden was stunning, and it was a delight to be able to sit out there during the day and in the evenings and be able to see the sea. The house was perfect for our needs, and we loved all the different rooms. Thank you so much for letting us stay. We will definitely be back again!- Elspeth, July 2021
“The location of the cottage is amazing, right on the coastal trail, village is lovely, and there are amazing sea-views from all the rooms, and I mean proper full sea-views.”
We had a fantastic time, so quiet and relaxing. You won't be disappointed.- Sharon, June 2021
“Holiday was enhanced by the views and location”- Graham, June 2021
“Stunning view across to Snowdonia from lovely garden but also the house is very well appointed, clean and comfortable.”
We very much hope to return one day. Thank you for a very welcome holiday after a winter in lockdown.- Jennie, April 2021
“Bay View really does have an incredible view.”
We had the most peaceful relaxing Easter week after a long lockdown. There is a really lovely secure garden - great for children & dogs. You are a stones throw from the pebble beach, icecream parlour , pub & cafe . We loved Moelfre because it is a tiny village . If you want something more lively, it isn’t for you. The local shop is a gem. Fresh bread & homemade pies every day ! The chippy is also great. As no restaurants were open we used the Waitrose in Menai Bridge & cooked at home. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking & a dining room big enough for 6. House was spotless & well aired. Bay View is a very old cottage with electric heating and lots of draughty breezes in places but you have to expect that in a house that old . We had wild weather of sunshine & snow. & used the open fire every day which kept the place cosy & warm. It would be wonderful In summer with the french doors open to the garden & we will definitely return again. Sykes were excellent . We had 2 bookings we couldn’t take during lockdown & We got full automatic refunds - no quibble . Excellent comms. We have booked with them again & would highly recommend. All in all an excellent experience & one of the few benefits of Covid being able to travel only within Wales !- Michelle, April 2021
“This cottage has everything you need, is tastefully decorated and the views are amazing.”
As well as what’s shown in the pictures there is a really useful utility room as well. The village of Moelfre is lovely and has what you need in a great pub, cafe, chippy, shop and ice cream parlour. The cottage is so close to the beach it was easy to just pop down there in the morning for some fresh sea air to wake up! I would definitely recommend Bay View and I will certainly return.- Natalie, September 2020
“This was our second visit to Bay View, amazing position right by the sea, in a perfect village location.”
The house and garden are very well equipped and the perfect place to relax. Some items have been removed due to COVID books etc, however, this did not detract from our enjoyment. We would love to visit again soon.- Julie, September 2020
“This cottage certainly lives up to its name and the views over the bay do not disappoint!”
If you are lucky, as we were and get good weather, make sure you get up to see the sunrise as the photo opportunity is incredible. The cottage itself is very quirky, in particular the galley. It's a small but very bright and picturesque space for cooking and watching the ocean activities from the window seat. As the weather was so good, we spent most of our time outside in the lovely garden of an evening and the coastal path is right on your doorstep with plenty of walking around the stunning coastline during the day. The upstairs master bedroom is very spacious, with stunning views and in all honesty, could be further enhanced with a super king size bed for extra comfort (assuming you could get one up those stairs!!). The rest of the cottage has plenty of space and comfort for larger groups and the garden is secure for your four legged family members. All in all, a fabulous holiday cottage set in a wonderful, traditional village and we would most certainly recommend.- Helen, September 2020
“Bay View is a beautiful cottage, with an interesting history.”
The position is superb for views, for access to Moelfre and its facilities , and for the coastal path. You have a sea view from virtually every room in the house. It is fully equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. Towels were good quality, a good size and there were even hand towels in each bathroom. Every room is cosy. We felt very at home here. You feel the cottage has been loved over the years and has been a happy home. We also felt every attention had been given to detail and comfort. There was nothing we needed that we could not find. As the 'galley' is small but perfectly manageable , more emphasis might be given in the description to the excellent utility with another fridge and plenty of cupboard space. Possibly a photo. This is a cottage you want to return to. I recommend it highly.- Jo, December 2019
“Bay View is a fabulous cottage which has all the facilities you need.”
Warm and cosy with the log fire and electric blanket on the bed. Fantastic views of sea and mountains!! Brilliant for dogs as back door to utility room direct from safe garden - we didn't use the front door at all. Also great to have stair gate to keep dogs from going upstairs. Lots of lovely walks for us and the dogs without getting in the car and vast sandy beaches a short drive away. Short walk to the pub and lovely tea room also village shop. Again a short drive to a range of small supermarkets which had everything we needed. We had never been to Anglesey before but will certainly return. Thank you Sykes for another great cottage!- Sylvia, December 2019
“Bay View to be exactly as described.”
Lovely views from the house and garden. Within easy walking distance of local shop, pub, fish and chip, coffee and wool shops. The house is very well equipped, home from home. It's lovely reading the history of the Coxswain with the RNLI who had lived at the house. Very comfortable beds, lovely towels. The large untility is excellent for dogs to dry them off after walks, hanging up your walking kit etc. Overall a super cute cottage, very dog friendly and ideally located.- Dawn, November 2019
“Beautiful house well kept and a view to die for.”
Plenty of rooms downstairs even the kitchen had a window seat to see the vista. Mattress in master bedroom was so comfortable that I slept well which is a miracle as I haven't slept like that in years. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful property. Isobel Michael x- Isobel, September 2019
“Beautiful house with all amenities in a perfect location.”
Been to Anglesey many times, this is the best place we have ever stayed, will definitely be back!- Julie, September 2019
“Had a lovely week at Bay View in Moelfre.”
Really homely, charming house with a wonderful view of the sea from the back garden. Also right next to the Anglesey coastal path which we walked every day with our dog. The house is great for dogs too, there's a back door for soggy mutts and a utility room which was perfect as a dog bedroom. The only small issue was a couple of holes in the garden fence which need closing off if you have a curious dog. We took some wire mesh panels which worked great. Moelfre is delightful and well positioned for visits to Menai, Parys Mountain and many other lovely spots.- Nigel, August 2019
“Fantastic holiday in a beautiful family friendly cottage.”
