  • “This is the first rental from you that disappointed us.”

We like Menai and Sykes, all other rentals have been great. The picture is very deceiving, a small front garden was not expected and the parking space was a joke, a bad one. If we had had a saloon or above it would be impossible to park. The directions were terrible. We had to ask 3 locals how to get there after following the instructions to the letter which brought us to a dead end lane. We had to park up and walk in to find the house. If we had Arrived in the village In the dark we would have been very lucky to find our way around. The outside windows had not been cleaned since......which spoiled the view..... and there was a layer of dust on the big box in the fireplace, the sofa armrests were covered in grime, the bath did not drain, the oven trays were filthy and there were no cloths or soaps to wipe round any surface. There were no garden chairs or table??? To all who read this AVOID unless changes are made. The village is fine, as is the area, as are the agents who have been brilliant during the Covid mess with our other rentals. The 10 rating is for the agents.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you feel the cottage did not meet your personal standards. However, I have checked the photos & description on the website, in particular with regard the garden, parking and directions and feel they more than adequately reflect a true picture of the cottage and facilities we offer. I will of course address the cleanliness issues but would like to point out that they paint a very different picture to those presented by the guest who stayed in the cottage the previous week who described Tegfan as " a lovely cottage & very homely". Although this is a self catering cottage we do usually leave cleaning items such as cloths & soaps however, due to the current pandemic our guests safety is paramount and we are following Government guidelines to leave as little in the cottage as possible which could transmitt the virus. Unfortunately we do not provide garden furniture and the website does not advertise this but our guests are welcome to bring folding chairs etc to use in our lovely front garden with the fabulous sea views! The property

Tegfan has been lovingly restored and renovated.

It has gardens to the front and rear and offers a relaxing holiday environment right in the heart of the charming coastal village of Moelfre, on the east coast of Anglesey. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

There is a breakfast bar and door opening onto the rear garden. There are three bedrooms.

Two bedrooms, a double and twin, are on the ground floor.

There is a ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Stairs from the dining area lead to a further double bedroom. The front and rear garden have a lawn and shrubs.

There is parking for one car (this quaint little fishing village does have some narrow lanes and as a result parking can be a little challenging) Moelfre is one of the prettiest villages on Anglesey with a local pub, cafe and shop close to hand, in addition to the Seawatch Centre a small museum and shop with the fascinating maritime history of the area, and the recently rebuilt RNLI station.

The small sheltered shingle bay is just a short stroll from the cottage where you can enjoy home made ice cream or explore the area's spectacular scenery by using the coastal path where you can walk to Lligwy Beach, a popular sandy beach or head off to Benllech and it's Blue Flag Beach. Perfect holiday cottage for couples or families in the historic and picturesque harbour village of Moelfre.
