“We have stayed in lots of holiday cottages but wouldn't return to this one.”

Investment had been made in the kitchen, bathroom, plastering and doors. However, the fan in the bathroom sounded like a bucket of bolts, and the water was extremely hot. The mattresses were stained and had no mattress protectors the pillows were without protectors too, linen and towels were poor, a quick visit to Dunelm for us!. On arrival the cleaning was sub-standard and there wasn't a vacuum or clean products to use, also broken glass in the dishwasher! I wouldn't recommend until ...

I wouldn't recommend until improvements are made, very disappointing.

The property

Tegfan has been lovingly restored and renovated.

It has gardens to the front and rear and offers a relaxing holiday environment right in the heart of the charming coastal village of Moelfre, on the east coast of Anglesey. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

There is a breakfast bar and door opening onto the rear garden. There are three bedrooms.

Two bedrooms, a double and twin, are on the ground floor.

There is a ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Stairs from the dining area lead to a further double bedroom. The front and rear garden have a lawn and shrubs.

There is parking for one car (this quaint little fishing village does have some narrow lanes and as a result parking can be a little challenging) Moelfre is one of the prettiest villages on Anglesey with a local pub, cafe and shop close to hand, in addition to the Seawatch Centre a small museum and shop with the fascinating maritime history of the area, and the recently rebuilt RNLI station.

The small sheltered shingle bay is just a short stroll from the cottage where you can enjoy home made ice cream or explore the area's spectacular scenery by using the coastal path where you can walk to Lligwy Beach, a popular sandy beach or head off to Benllech and it's Blue Flag Beach. Perfect holiday cottage for couples or families in the historic and picturesque harbour village of Moelfre.

About the location

MOELFRE

Lligwy 2 miles; Benllech 2.5 miles.

Situated on the beautiful east coast of Anglesey, Moelfre is a delightful seaside village, boasting little cottages, a picturesque port, a beach, fine views of Snowdonia, a working lifeboat, and two quality pubs/restaurants. Visit the hugely popular local Seawatch Centre, enjoy fishing or watching sea birds, seals and even dolphins, or discover wonderful cliff-top walks with stunning mountain views. The village has many historic links, the most recent being the site of the tragic Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859. There are stunning sandy beaches nearby, at Benllech and Lligwy, and the lovely Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open sands and birdlife.
