    “Lack of towels.”

    Extreme lack of plug points. Fuel was included in price but suddenly electricity went off and we had to buy credit for meter. This was a shock and we had not been informed that it was a meter. We spent £20 on fuel.

The property

Eirlys is a family-friendly terraced cottage, resting on the Glan Gwna Holiday Park, on the outskirts of Caeathro, just two miles from Caernarfon.

This property is ideal for a family or group looking to enjoy quality time together while exploring the spectacular North Wales coast and countryside.

Step inside the property to discover an inviting sitting room, with two sofas to relax onto in front of the cosy electric fire, while you enjoy a family favourite film on the TV.

The kitchen/diner is compact but well-equipped to allow you to cook up a storm for the group, while home-cooked meals can be enjoyed at the dining table together.

Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms, consisting of a master double bedroom, a spacious single and a triple bunkroom with a double bed on the bottom and a single on top, offering a diverse sleeping arrangement that can cater to a variety of groups, while the ground-floor bathroom gives you the choice of bath with shower over to start the day.

Head into the front garden, where the enclosed decking area provides the perfect place for a morning coffee or late afternoon glass of wine in the warm sunshine.

Spend an afternoon at the on-site lake, where you can fish for trout if you have a rod license, or venture two miles from the property to Caernarfon to discover shops, eateries, a lovely stretch of coastline and a 13th century medieval castle.

Choose from a selection of picturesque beaches along the Menai Strait, or catch a train to Porthmadog to spend the day at one of its Blue Flag beaches and idyllic.

Take a day trip to the magnificent Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, popular with walkers and cyclists, where you can climb rugged peaks, including the challenging Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales' highest mountain.

Cross the Menai Bridge over to the unspoilt Isle of Anglesey and enjoy an afternoon at one of its pristine beaches, or walk the coastal path to enjoy some incredible scenery.

Caernarfon 2 miles; Llanberis 7 miles; Beddgelert 10 miles.

Caeathro is a small village with a shop and pub, situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, 2 miles from Caernarfon. The town is a popular tourist spot, with its impressive 13th Century castle, well-preserved town walls and attractive waterfront. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery. Caernarfon offers a selection of shops, places to eat and sea-fishing trips off the coast of Anglesey. The perfect location for touring Snowdonia and the lovely beaches of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as for enjoying excellent climbing, walking, mountain biking, watersports and golf.
