“Cottage in a lovely peaceful location with stunning sunset views which we benefitted from every evening due to exceptionally good weather.”

Cottage not particularly clean, including throws on furniture. Ensuite bedroom: The valances on both beds were very dirty on the bottom, obviously been trodden on with dirty shoes at some point and not changed for our stay. Quilt covers had a fold over top fastened by buttons, all buttons were broken and therefore sharp and did not fasten and should not be in use. Carpet behind the dressing table is made up of patches and does not completely cover the concrete floor. The ensuite has ranch style doors on it, if I had known this I would not have booked this cottage. Only 1 bath towel provided per person, normally get hand towels as well. There is an abundance of cupboards in the kitchen, but due to several being locked for owners use, only 1 cupboard available for your food storage unless you move things around. On the plus side it does have 2 fridges which are needed when the cottage is fully occupied. Other than the hob and the oven which appear to be new, the whole cottage is very tired and in need of a complete refurbishment.

The property

Bright and sunny, Limpets Lodge holiday house is on a private estate, with wonderful views across the pretty bay which is just a short walk away.

The glorious, clean white sandy beach is surrounded by tiny interesting coves - great for exploring rock pools when the tide is out, or enjoying forty winks in the sunshine in a quiet sheltered corner. "Limpets lodge is a fun holiday house which is bright, light, cosy & welcoming.

Great all year round and lots to do and see all within a short walk." Located on the west coast of Anglesey, near Trearddur Bay, just about every water sport is available, from sailing, water skiing and kayaking to the ever-popular coasteering.

There are good places to eat - we enjoy the food and atmosphere at The Seacroft - and there is a well-stocked village shop. Limpets Lodge is a much loved, happy family holiday house that we are lucky to be able to share with you.

A great base to explore this lovely corner of North Wales.

About the location

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
