The property

Ty Llwyd is a much-loved self catering holiday cottage in a fantastic central location in the popular village of Trearddur Bay, on the west coast of the beautiful island of Anglesey.

Just two minutes' walk away you will find several sandy beaches and rocky coves.

The holiday cottage is conveniently positioned opposite the Seacroft pub - perfect for long lunches or child-friendly suppers.

It is just a five-minute walk to local shops and Trearddur Bay's newest eaterie, the Black Seal. "Every home comfort has been thought of, even down to the Lego!

Two minutes walk from lovely beaches and sandy coves, summer or winter, this a great house to visit." Walkers and wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy striding out along the Coastal Footpath.

From Trearddur Bay, along the coast to the Rhoscolyn coastguard lookout, and down to Rhoscolyn beach is a wonderful walk - look out for 'Bwa Gwyn', the white arch, on the way! Ty Llwyd enjoys direct sea views towards the main beach and Holyhead Mountain beyond.

It has gas central heating on the ground floor, a wood burning stove in one of the sitting rooms and electric heaters in the two upstairs bedrooms.

A lovely holiday cottage for a happy seaside holiday in North Wales!

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!

Note: The house is built on an elevated position on rocks and is accessed by stone steps, so it is unfortunately not suited to disabled visitors. The elderly and those in charge of infants should note that care must be taken on these front steps.
