“We were told by you that there would be a starter pack of fuel for the open fire when we arrived.”
There were 2 small logs and a 6/7 small sticks. On contacting the house keeper she came round and said she didn't know about supplying enough fuel for the 1st. night. By the time we arrived it was to late to go anywhere for some, which is why we asked you in the first place. The heating came on a 4.00 pm and went off at 5.00 pm . We eventually found the controls and thermostats and switched them on. There were NO instructions on anything cooker, heating where to put rubbish, where to go to eat and shop not what we were used to from previous cottages, we found everything out by trial and error. The inside of the cottage was reasonably clean as was the front garden, the back of the cottage was filthy leaves, mould leaking drains garden overgrown steps steep and very slippy.
But the location was excellent, the local pub allowed dogs in but the cafe/restaurant did not, good walks on the beach when the tide allowed.
Due to corona virus we cut the holiday short by 2 days.
