    “A lovely cottage, very well equipped and exceptionally clean.”

    Good location in the centre of the village, just yards from the beach, the shops and bars, and a really great chippy. Ample parking space for a large car. Small space to sit outside that catches the morning sun. We loved it and are planning to return.

The property

Tucked away in the popular seaside village of Rhosneigr on the Isle of Anglesey is Cartref Lodge, situated up a private driveway in a secluded but central location and only two minutes walk from the beach.The simple exterior hiding the beautifully renovated interior is the perfect space for families, friends or couples seeking an escape to the coast.

The spacious sitting room is well furnished with a large corner sofa to help you relax and with the additional small snug this gives everyone an excellent quiet place to unwind with a good book or in front of the wood burning stove.

The well-equipped kitchen has a range of contemporary appliances in a lovely well thought out space and with the dining room just through the door, a cosy little room to gather together and chat about the days’ adventures.

There is a double room with a king sized bed and a convenient en-suite WC, and a twin room, both have plenty of storage, downstairs the family bathroom has a bath with a shower over.

Take a refreshing drink out to the enclosed decked courtyard to enjoy some alfresco dining.

Rhosneigr is an ideal base for exploring Anglesey, and it has plenty of lovely places to eat and drink to choose from as well as the sweeping stretch of beach.Anglesey is hugely popular area with lots to see and do, from water sports to historic castles, galleries to sunbathing on the beach!

Try your hand at a variety of water-sports, fishing, sailing or windsurfing - to name but a few activities available.Nearby is The Anglesey Golf Club with landscaped grounds and panoramic views, and Anglesey Race Circuit is minutes away at Ty Croes for those who enjoy a faster pace.Other popular choices include Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Beaumaris Castle.

Cartref Lodge is an excellent choice for a seaside break to this wonderful corner of Anglesey.

The popular seaside village of Rhosneigr is situated on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey, famous for its spectacular cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches. The village has a varied history including a 6th century church, tales of smugglers, famous off-shore shipwrecks and from the Edwardian era it has been a fashionable holiday destination. Today it is known for its magnificent beaches and renowned watersports, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with tuition available in the village. Activities include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving, golf and hours of family fun on the enormous sandy beaches. There are several pubs, restaurants and shops in the village, with the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (starting point for day trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor within easy travelling distance. Rhosneigr is located near to RAF Valley, famed for Prince William's Air Sea Rescue training base.
