    “What a Great place!”

    ...

What a Great location! What Great sunsets! Great access to the wonderful beach! Great places to eat - Sandy Mount House and the Oyster Catcher. We were fortunate to have Great weather for September. Cottage is well equipped, clean and spacious. Twin room on the ground floor was great for our elderly parents ( they would have benefited if there had been a ground floor shower room). There were a few niggles - no dryer for beach towels/ clothes - no small cups - element on cooker hanging down and did not appear to work properly - some windows do not open - unable to lock front glass doors with key - difficult to open balcony door - felt it would have been considerate of you to advise us of the building work going on next door. Please take this as constructive criticism. We really had a Great time and will definitely book again. Thank you Menai Holidays!

The property

Overlooking the bay at Rhosneigr, Cowrie Cottage the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset from the spacious living area, or enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony of the master bedroom - bliss! "I have a soft spot for the name and for the house - in a fabulous location where you can walk down to the beach and look for Cowries." The beaches at Rhosneigr are great for families.

They are clean and safe with lovely rock pools, good for making sand castles and a haven for cowrie hunters.

There's a fantastic selection of water sports, or you can just potter about and catch a mackerel. The village centre is a five-minute walk away, with good eating places.

Don't miss the great shop, Gecko, and their gift shop opposite.

This is a really fab holiday house for exploring this corner of North Wales.

Today it is known for its magnificent beaches and renowned watersports, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with tuition available in the village. There are several pubs, restaurants and shops in the village, with the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (starting point for day trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor within easy travelling distance.
