  • “We were thrilled with the location of this property, it is the reason we came, generally we felt the property was a little tired, the cushion on the sofa had a hole in with the inner coming out, quite a few items of the crockery were chipped or cracked, on the positive the extent of utensils was fantastic, everything we needed was available, brilliant to have a washing machine, this was used a few times.”

We had an amazing holiday with fab weather, we would use Menai holidays again so please see our remarks as constructive criticism. Many thanks.

The property

Overlooking the bay at Rhosneigr, Cowrie Cottage the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset from the spacious living area, or enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony of the master bedroom - bliss! "I have a soft spot for the name and for the house - in a fabulous location where you can walk down to the beach and look for Cowries." The beaches at Rhosneigr are great for families.

They are clean and safe with lovely rock pools, good for making sand castles and a haven for cowrie hunters.

There's a fantastic selection of water sports, or you can just potter about and catch a mackerel. The village centre is a five-minute walk away, with good eating places.

Don't miss the great shop, Gecko, and their gift shop opposite.

This is a really fab holiday house for exploring this corner of North Wales.

The popular seaside village of Rhosneigr is situated on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey, famous for its spectacular cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches. The village has a varied history including a 6th century church, tales of smugglers, famous off-shore shipwrecks and from the Edwardian era it has been a fashionable holiday destination. Today it is known for its magnificent beaches and renowned watersports, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with tuition available in the village. Activities include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving, golf and hours of family fun on the enormous sandy beaches. There are several pubs, restaurants and shops in the village, with the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (starting point for day trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor within easy travelling distance. Close by is the Anglesey Race Circuit, great for lovers or car and motorbike racing, while on the island you will find Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Beaumaris Castle.
