“The postcode listed of the property is incorrect and it has taken me half an hour of google street viewing to figure out where it is that we will be staying.”

The correct postcode is LL55 3AE as opposed to the listed LL55 3AG that is half a mile away. The cottage was lovely and warm. The fittings and the quality of the furnishings were great. However, and that’s personal, the beds were the most uncomfortable we had the displeasure in sleeping in. We’d wake more tired every morning to the point where we abandoned the holiday on Tuesday because it became unbearable. It’s a shame because we really enjoyed the log fire every evening. Also, the heated floor was probably the best feature of the house. It would also be good of the hosts to publish the fact the broadband internet at the property is barely there with speeds never reaching 1Mbps. This means that the advertised smart TV is a moot point because nothing works with such poor speeds. We initially planned to work from the cottage for part of the holiday and are really glad we changed our plans because it would have been impossible. The thick walls of the cottage also block the mobile internet signal so you end up without a reliable connection whichever way you look at it.

The property

This beautiful, old stone cottage has been lovingly brought back to life and retains a wealth of historic features.

The handmade oak frames, reclaimed local slate floors and lovingly restored stonework blend seamlessly with the modern amenities of underfloor heating.

The woodburning stove will toast you in the evening after a day out in Snowdonia or you can soak away any aches and pains in the roll top bath. "Traditional, cosy Welsh stone cottage perfectly located for Snowdonia and the beaches of Anglesey." Seion is a small, quiet hamlet, yet you are only a short drive away from the nearby towns of Caernarfon, Bangor and Llanberis.

This offers endless opportunities including train journeys through stunning scenery and plenty of hiking, cycling and canoeing to name but a few.

There is also the added bonus of only being a short trip away from Zip World.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor.
