“Overall a lovely little cottage in a great location with friendly neighbours great a for getaway and would go again in the future.”
We arrived during Storm Dennis so not the ideal weather for a weekend getaway but the cottage was warm and welcoming the under floor heating was great, the wood burning fire was v.nice to sit by during the evenings along with the candles.
The cottage itself is hidden away behind the houses on the road with off-road parking (google map > 5RHF+RR Seion) and is as pictured from the outside.
When we did venture out for a walk the sofa's whilst not the biggest (new ones so different than currently pictured a 3 seater and a 2 would be better imo) where soft and you sunk into them after a long wet and windy walk and the cushions where lovely.
The king size bed was very comfortable and provided a very good nights sleep the stars on a clear night where lovely to see.
The bathroom is large and the bath is a v.good size and deep for a good soak after a long walk.
The Kitchen provided us with pretty much everything we needed apart from the instructions on how to use the LOGIK hob - Wi-Fi + google to the rescue!
Some v.minor niggles.
The garden area has a small wall around it which the vast majority of dogs would be able to jump over with ease so whilst enclosed if your dog has a tendency to roam when let outside it would be best to keep on a lead.
The Smart TV was not connected to the internet (no LAN cable) and the HDMI cables would not work from my Mac Book to the TV so no Netflix this weekend, which was not a problem but would of been nice with the weather being as it was. I will take a spare LAN cable next time :) - the torch provided needs new batteries so make sure to take your own or use an app on your smart phone.
The bath was a little dirty but with cleaning products provided we soon sorted that out, the shower was warm and powerful but anyone around 6 foot would possibly hit their head on the shower head as the fitting hangs a little on the low side (normal being a cottage) and was dripping all the time from the shower head. The kitchen sink had a slight leak in the pipe so we placed a bucket to collect any drips to prevent any water damage.
