“Was ok. Plenty of room an in an ideal spot.”

Main en suite bedroom smelt damp and of dog. My wife ended up getting flea bitten, perhaps because of pets allowed. I did notice the previous occupiers had a dog - this may be connected, I’m not sure. Facilities within the home were good.

The property

A fantastic holiday house that has been completely rebuilt by the owners of many years.

Much thought has gone into the design of the house to offer a bright, light, contemporary space, which is also snug and cosy for the winter months. The sitting room is upstairs to make the most of the gorgeous views of the main beach in Trearddur Bay.

Sofas are set around an open fireplace for extra cosiness in colder months, there is a TV and plenty of games, step outside the sliding doors and you’ll be on the spacious balcony which has plenty of garden furniture.

To one side of the seating area is a breakfast table with chairs. The open kitchen and dining space is lovely, sociable area.

The kitchen makes cooking easy - a six ring and two oven gas range cooker, larder fridge freezer, microwave, tiled floors are here to use, along with all you will need to cook up a storm!, there is also a separate utility room that has a washing machine, dryer and sink. The large family dining table and chairs is perfect for family suppers - that’s also a wood burning stove for chillier evenings, or on warmer nights the French doors lead to the patio area outside with table and chairs. Downstairs are four bedrooms: A double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath, this room also has French doors take you out into the garden.

There are two twin rooms, one of which offers access to the garden.

There is also a room with bunks set at right angles so adults may sleep comfortably in these.

Please be advised that the bottom bunk is three-quarter in size. The family bathroom has a bath, shower, loo and wash hand basin. There is a further wet room with shower basin and loo - the ideal place to head after coming from the beach to wash off sandy toes! The garage offers plenty of space for drying wetsuits, kayaks, or general storage of outdoor gear. Located on the west coast of Anglesey, Trearddur Bay is bustling with activity in the summer.

You will find sailing, windsurfing, diving, skiing, swimming, and fabulous long clean sandy Blue Flag beaches, which are flanked by charming little coves and bays on either side.

Perfect for family holidays.

Or come in May, June, or September and enjoy the sunshine and lap up the peace and tranquillity of this pretty village. Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance and a there is a golf course just a mile away.

This is a fabulous fun holiday house!

Book it!

About the location

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
