  • “We would have given this cottage a 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for the kitchen.”

    ...

We had to wash all of the plates and cutlery as there were crumbs in the drawers and wash the shelves in the oven because they had layer of grime on them. We also couldn't make use the BBQ for the same reason. I didn't put any of our own food in the cupboards as they had a layer of dust in and a bit of a musty smell. The king size bed is two singles pushed together, this was ok for us but one of the beds creaked everytime you moved, so may need to be fixed or replaced. A gate would also be a good addition as you can't let dogs out at all and I guess would be the same for small children. Other than that great place, great location and really comfy stay from then on, would most likely stay again and recommend, hoping that the kitchen cleanliness is addressed!

Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry.
