The location right on the shore of Llyn Tegid (Lake Bala) is beautiful. The grounds are well kept lush and naturalistic. It’s great for wildlife—we loved watching the woodpeckers, swallows and ducks in the garden, and we were told there’s a barn owl living nearby.

Glan y Gro makes the good base for exploring Snowdonia, and with a car you will definitely make the most of the region.
