  • “Was a beautiful little cottage in a very convenient location.”

Only down side was the shower, it was difficult to work and if you weren’t so able bodied the steps up to the cottage could be a problem but personally I would be happy to stay again

The property

A central base in the seaside town of Barmouth, this quaint three-storey mid-terrace cottage is a wonderful escape for a family looking to enjoy both the coast and countryside.

Backed by the Snowdonia National Park and yet just a stone’s throw from the sea, 3 Harbour View has a fantastic location for an action-packed stay.

From the secluded back street just off the main high street, head up the stone steps to your home-from-home and enter the lovely kitchen/diner.

Be charmed by the coastal décor and find a soft-grey dining table where you can gather in the mornings for a hearty breakfast, whilst the bright and modern kitchen holds all the appliances you need to rustle up delicious meals, even home to a dishwasher for extra convenience.

Find the sitting room further along, housing a beautiful colour scheme of blue and grey, with a lovely compass wall feature resting above the plush sofa, relax here before the traditional stone fireplace and enjoy a film on the Smart TV, the gas stove-effect fire adding a homely ambiance.

Enjoy a morning coffee outside making use of the pretty bistro table and chairs, a lovely addition so you can admire the atmosphere of the quiet stone street, and listen to the sounds of the high street beyond waking up.

Admire views of the sea and glimpses of the sand from the first-floor bedroom window, a double bed lies here along with a shabby-chic wardrobe for plenty of storage, with the coastal theme continued with hues of blue and white.

Next to this room is the family bathroom, where you can feel refreshed after a rigorous walk in the national park, or a hot day on the beach, with a cooling shower or a relaxing soak in the bath.

Journey up the next set of stairs, watching your head for the lower ceiling on the way, and discover the delightful twin bedroom, as well as a day bed room, so you can either request it to be made up for a fifth guest, or enjoy the space as a snug to unwind in with a good book.

Step out onto Barmouth high street and be met with a great choice of restaurants and pubs to sample some delicious food, with family-friendly bistros, romantic restaurant settings, and locally caught seafood on lots of menus, you are spoilt for choice.

Base yourself in this idyllic seaside resort for the wonderful scenery to wake up to, a short stroll can bring you to the beautiful sandy beach where safe swimming, watersports and sunbathing are all on the agenda, try paddleboarding with the Yacht Club or watch your little ones on a donkey ride, creating some lasting holiday memories.

Catch a show in The Dragon Theatre, set within an old chapel, it shows films, shows and music events throughout the year, while the town has regular live music to enjoy at several venues including The Last Inn, The Royal, and Tal-y-Don to name a few!

Walkers of all abilities can relish the outdoors, a relaxed ramble can be found along the Barmouth Heritage Trail, while a challenge can be discovered on the 50km Mawddach Way.

Cyclists can enjoy the National Cycle Way which passed through Barmouth, as well as following the route 8 and 82 to explore Southern Snowdonia, encountering stunning scenery along the way.

Relish a Welsh coastal break with your loved ones at 3 Harbour View.
