  • “We really enjoyed our stay here.”

A really peaceful location in beautiful surroundings. The lodge was lovely and everything you would need. There were also things there to take to the beach like mats and windbreaks. Would definitely visit here again.

Woodlands Lodge is a superb, comfortable detached wooden lodge located on a quiet complex in Brithdir near the town of Dolgellau.

The single-storey lodge has a stream running past and is situated in Snowdonia National Park, making Woodlands Lodge a perfect base for your next family trip to this part of North Wales.

As you arrive at the property, there is ample off-road parking and two steps up to the lodge, where you enter into a spacious hallway with plenty of room to leave your coats and shoes.

To your left there is a double bedroom which makes for a homely escape at the end of a long day, with an en-suite WC adding a slice of privacy to your stay.

On the other side of the hallway, there is a lovely twin room with wooden furnishings throughout and two windows making it a bright and airy space, as you prepare for the day ahead.

Following on from the two bedrooms, there is a bathroom which allows guests the choice between a quick shower before you set out for an action-packed day, or a long soak in the bath after you've returned from the adventure of Snowdonia.

Moving through the property, there is a sitting room with a warming woodburning stove, and ample sofa space for you to pick your spot and flick on the television as the sun goes down.

Continuing to impress, the property is complete with a kitchen/diner, where you can gather round the dining table to enjoy a home cooked meal rustled up in the well equipped kitchen with the helpful addition of an useful dishwasher.

A door from the kitchen leads to the rear of the property where there is a gravelled garden with a table and chairs to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining, as well as a funky arbour bench, so you can sit under the stars and talk about your wonderful holiday with the relaxing sound of the stream running past.

Woodlands Lodge is well located on the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park which makes it a great location for exploring the outdoors, with superb walking and cycling routes around the Cader Idris mountain range, or alternatively relax by the west coast beaches, on the soft sand at Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovey.
