The property

A beautifully appointed ground floor apartment located in the lower part of Harlech, situated on a quiet, well-spaced and well-kept open plan cul de sac, overlooked by the Castle and surrounded by some wonderful countryside and just a short walk away from the beautiful sandy beach and well-known Royal St. David’s Golf Club.Ideally placed, Driftwood provides fantastic holiday accommodation for a couple, friends or a family and provides an excellent base from which to explore this wonderful part of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. Driftwood has been transformed by its present owners, tastefully combining modern furnishings with some lovely individual pieces adding a slight nautical and coastal theme throughout.

Driftwood will not disappoint you!

Surprisingly spacious, the open plan living accommodation boasts a well-appointed, modern fitted kitchen, a lovely dining area and the sitting area has comfy sofas providing a lovely relaxing place to unwind after a busy day out and about. Patio doors open to an outside patio area where you can enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or even al fresco dining on a warm Summers evening.

The two bedrooms are individually styled, the main bedroom boasting a king-size bed and both offer comfy beds with luxury white pinstriped linen, ensuring you have a great night’s sleep. And to complete this lovely apartment, a modern, well-appointed bathroom boasting a double ended bath, ideal for a bit of pampering. Driftwood is very well-located with a ten minute walk taking you to the glorious sandy beach, arguably one of the best in the area or alternatively up into the town of Harlech, famous for its 13th century castle which is well worth a visit.

The challenging links golf course of Royal St. David’s is a must for golf lovers, and children and adults can enjoy the indoor swimming pool and climbing wall which also close by. Harlech is also home to shops and a good range of restaurants. Spend endless amounts of time, walking along the beach and building sand castles and when you’ve had enough, head inland and enjoy the myriad of footpaths and outdoor pursuits that the Snowdonia National Park has to offer.

Barmouth, Porthmadog, and the world-famous Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion are all within easy access and well worth a visit.

About the location

HARLECH

Barmouth 11 miles; Porthmadog 10 miles.

Situated in a magnificent position between the mountains and the sea, the delightful small town of Harlech is dominated by its majestic 13th century castle. Harlech Castle is recognised as the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I and has World Heritage status. The town is very popular with golfers, who come to enjoy the famous Royal St. Davids course, whilst the beautiful sandy beach is wonderful for family fun and long walks. Harlech offers an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants, whilst the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, together with the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay, are all within easy reach.

Note: Although the property has a bath, the combi boiler struggles to cope with the demand required to fill it with hot water unfortunately.
