    “Lovely location / clean .”

    Downside no firelighters left or kindling for log burner / lack of cooking utensils / not enough information about the recycling or how to use the cooker/ oven/ handrail needed outside on front steps as very steep and slippery when wet.

The property

The Lookout is a fantastic, stylish property, overlooking Cardigan Bay in the pretty village of Llanaber, near Barmouth.

Boasting wonderful sea views towards the Llyn Peninsula, as well as being well-placed for discovering Harlech, Barmouth and the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, The Lookout is a fantastic base for a couple or small group wanting to explore North Wales.

Enter the property to discover a cosy living/dining room, with stylish and quirky features, including a wood effect feature wall, a chest-style coffee table, an arm chair with an overhead lamp, where you can curl up with a good book, and a sofa placed opposite the wall-mounted Smart TV, which rests above the wooden fireplace, where the woodburning stove can heat up the space and add a cosy feel to a family movie night, while the dining table offers the ideal place to enjoy meals and make plans for the remainder of your stay.

The contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with all of the appliances you could need, including a Smeg kettle and toaster, an integrated fridge/freezer and electric oven, as well as providing you with plenty of space to prepare delicious home-cooked meals.

Upstairs, you will find a spacious double bedroom, with a bright feature wall with a palm tree print and a lovely dressing table, while opposite the bedroom is the stylish bathroom with contemporary fittings and a bath with handheld shower.

On the second floor is a characterful double bedroom with sloping ceilings and large Velux windows, with a sofa that you can relax on and enjoy the incredible views on offer to you.

Outside there is roadside parking, storage for bikes and canoes and a small front patio garden, enjoying sea views and offering an idyllic spot to sit and take in your view, or even climb into the hammock for a truly relaxing experience.

There is a bar/restaurant within walking distance, as well as a handful of sandy beaches and a selection of walking, cycling, watersports and horse riding opportunities nearby.

Llanaber is in one of the most picturesque parts of North Wales; between Barmouth and Harlech, overlooking Cardigan Bay and with the magnificent Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park providing a backdrop.

Harlech is a couple of miles north along the coast, offering an imposing castle, a golf club and a picturesque, family-friendly beach.

Barmouth is a short journey south, with a Blue Flag awarded beach, excellent for sunbathing and swimming, a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, a museum, an abundance of wildlife visible along the Mawddach Estuary and an idyllic harbour.

Other nearby attractions to visit include Llanfair Slate Caverns, Coed y Brenin Forest Park, and a hike along Minffordd Path up Cader Idris, enjoying incredible lake and valley views at the top.

The Lookout will leave you spoilt for choice by spectacular North Wales scenery and attractions to explore.

The small coastal village of Llanaber lies between one of the most picturesque resorts on the Welsh coast, Barmouth, and the World Heritage Site of Harlech, all surrounded by the unrivalled splendour of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Llanaber overlooks beautiful Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula beyond and is home to the historic 13th century St Mary & St Bodfan church. This is a renowned location for wonderful beaches, fishing, golf, walking, sailing, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding and has ready access to mountains, steam railways, slate quarries and a variety of historic castles. The traditional seaside town of Barmouth boasts an enormous sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for families. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, combined with the mild climate, make this an ideal destination for a holiday, even out of season. This area is a paradise for walkers and climbers, with Mount Cader Idris nearby, the second highest mountain in Wales.
