The property

Waters Reach is a charming, detached cottage in Abersoch, Gwynedd that sits on a hill overlooking the sea.

Waters Reach is an excellent location for a family of eight's beach holiday, with beautiful views of Abersoch Harbour Beach and the sea, as well generous off-road parking and open-plan accommodation.

When you first walk into the house, you'll notice a large open-plan living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light, as well as several sitting areas, including one with several plush seating options for you to lounge on while watching TV, two armchairs with sea views, and a space with two sofas that's ideal for socialising.

The neighbouring stylish kitchen/diner features a variety of amenities, such as double electric ovens and a dishwasher, as well as dual aspect windows with views of the sea and lawn.

When the appointed chef has prepared a delightful supper, open the patio doors to let the sea air in and eat it at the kitchen's elegant dining table, or during the cooler months, enjoy it at the living/dining room's table.

Before going to bed, you may toss any sandy garments into the washing machine at the property's utility.

Choose between four wonderfully decorated bedrooms in the evening, the first of which is a ground-floor double with access to the terrace, allowing you to fully appreciate the sea views, as well as two additional ground-floor bedrooms, a king-size and twin room with a TV.

The ground-floor bedrooms have access to a wonderful bathroom with a bath and separate walk-in shower, as well as a shower room; both bathrooms have heated towel rails for enhanced comfort.

Those seeking a little more solitude may head upstairs to a double room with a vaulted ceiling, Velux windows, and its own sitting area with a TV, as well as a floor-to-ceiling window that wonderfully frames those coastline views; the room is also serviced by an en-suite cloakroom, for added convenience.

The back yard is not only enclosed, but also beautiful, with a large, sloping grass filled with mature shrubs and trees, as well as a patio area with plenty of outdoor seating and a barbeque, making it an ideal site for dining alfresco.

Abersoch is home to two prominent beaches, sufficient watersports, Abersoch Golf Club, and a main street with an outstanding range of cafes and local stores.

Why not walk to Llanbedrog via the Llyn Coastal Path, admiring the heathland along the way, before stopping for a quick bite at Plas Glyn y Weddw's café and strolling down to the village's vast beach for a day of fun in the sun?

The small community of Llanengan is located behind Abersoch and is home to an ancient Hillfort that may be explored, as well as the welcoming tavern, The Sun Inn, and Hells Mouth Beach.

The Llyn Peninsula is home to a number of beautiful villages, like Cilan Uchaf, which has a riding school and a headland, and Nefyn, which has sweeping dunes and a brewery; make sure to also explore the area's lively communities, such as Pwllheli and Criccieth.

Waters Reach is an excellent spot for exploring this gorgeous region of Wales.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

Note: The garden is quite steep. Note there is restircted head room upsatirs
