Dave “We stayed for a week over Easter at the brilliant Station Flat with our 7 children (aged 11 - 1.”
5) and they loved every minute of it! Very well located with decent amenities, shops, restaurants and takeaways all close by. Easy access to trains and buses to venture further afield and visit family. We were traveling without a car this time and, despite some stormy weather, we were still easily able to get about. A few teething problems early on with hot water but the owners were instantly available to help see us through (despite being away themselves). We will definitely return. Many thanks ...

Mary “This is our third visit to Station Flat and it never fails to impress.”
The spacious flat itself is well equipped and feels like a home from home. Kay, the owner, is very good with correspondence and quick to reply to emails. The location of the flat is just perfect for families or groups as it caters to different interests. There are great dining out opportunities in the village, plenty of shops to browse and walks for all abilities on the doorstep. The teenagers were able to catch the train to other places without relying on taxi driving parents, an added bonus! We will be back again in the future.
- Mary, July 2023Jennifer “Excellent location, beautiful property with everything and more we could have asked for .”
Thank you for a lovely stay xx
- Jennifer, May 2023Thank you for your lovely comments. It was a pleasure to host you. Property Owner
Stephen “Amazing property - it’s in the perfect location and has everything you need an more for your stay.”
Our three kids loved it, especially the games room and the long corridor and the comms with owner were fab :)
- Stephen, August 2022Vanessa “Station Flat was absolutely lovely.”
It was exactly as described. The flat was spotlessly clean and had everything inside that we needed. We are a family of 3, so ideal for us. The location is beyond perfect - we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the spacious terrace watching the world go by! Lots to do, places to go for every age group. Would thoroughly recommend.
- Vanessa, August 2022Ed “Excellent property, practical but comfy.”
Great communication with the owner Kay.
- Ed, December 2021Mary “Station Flat was, as always, spotlessly clean and well equipped.”
All fittings and furnishings are in very good condition . The kitchen has everything I would expect and more making cooking/baking stress free. Station Flat is ideally located for our family with teenagers and younger child with easy access to shops and public transport as well as many local walks. Communications from the owner is excellent.
- Mary, October 2021Helen “The manager of the property Kay was brilliant with great communication and gave us all of the information we needed to enjoy our stay.”
The position of the flat is perfect, right in the middle of the hubbub of Betws y Coed but it still felt peaceful and private. The flat is very spacious and has comfortable beds, the sofa and chairs are really comfortable too. At the back of the flat the living room window overlooks the station platform which we all loved, just watching life go by. But the trains are not that often or at night so there isn’t much noise. The kitchen has everything you could need and overlooks the village green. All in all a great place to stay.
- Helen, September 2021Lucy “Station flat is the perfect place to stay.”
Flat is very clean, Extremely comfortable, Very large indoor Space and an amazing balcony over looking the main green and the views are great. Flat is also very well equipped that catered for all our needs, Kids loved watching the trains come in at the station and the occasional low flying Jet or helicopter added to the fun. Station flat is in the perfect spot to explore the surrounding areas.
- Lucy, July 2021Keith “This was lovely accommodation with everything you could need.”
- Keith, September 2020Duncan “Excellent location, very clean property.”
Good sized rooms with a massive balcony that we used every day. Communication throughout was excellent that really helped in the build up due to Covid worries - thanks.
- Duncan, August 2020Chris “Great communication and a huge effort considering all the restrictions of Covid, We really appreciated our stay.”
- Chris, July 2020Maria “Station flat is everything and more we could of asked for, much bigger than we thought from the photographs, brilliant location with many shops and restaurants.”
Lovely walks along the river and further along is swallow falls which is a must see ( charge £2) Also a mile away is zip world which is a brilliant day out and lots of fun. Could of done with a extra toilet maybe off the twin room ( playroom area) but really look forward to spending time here again in the future.
- Maria, December 2019Claire “Accommodation and location of the property were superb.”
Would highly recommend this property, it was more spacious then we expected and had everything we needed. Had a fantastic weeks stay here and would definitely use again.
- Claire, July 2019Gary “Fantasticl location , lots to do locally, close to local amenities”
- Gary, June 2019Carol “Fabulous flat, very central location with some lovely cafes & restaurants.”
Perfect for children, there’s a playroom next to one of the twin bedrooms & at the back of the flat, there is a miniature steam railway that our children loved going on whilst we sat on the platform at an amazing coffee shop! Would definitely stay again.
- Carol, May 2019Felicity “The station flat at Betws y coed has all you need, very comfortable beds perfect for resting after climbing snowdon, the location is perfect and Betws y coed is a beautiful picturesque village.”
It's our second stay and will not be our last
- Felicity, October 2018Caroline “The flat is on several levels and the eating area up several steps and down a corridor.”
I would not consider this flat suitable for young children because of the steps and low windows. We were five adults (mum and four children 19-25) and any more would have been uncomfortable with just one bathroom and seating available. The flat is noisy as on route from YHA, above a parade of shops, opposite a car park and on a bus route - lots of early deliveries and rubbish collections. We didn't mind the hourly, church clock chimes. It was a choice of windows open or stifle in the heat. I imagine noise would be worse in high season. The flat is above a chip shop so smelt of oil all the time. Location is excellent and we managed to get free parking each evening a little way down the road, but it was not school holidays so not that busy - bring a supply of coins to be on the safe side. Fun to watch trains out of back window and jets flying above. Kitchen very well appointed and extras like foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand wash, loo rolls were supplied. Water pressure in shower very good but shower quite small. Check out is 10am so was surprised to open door to leave and see cleaner (a nice woman, if a little eager) standing outside before 10am. We felt pressured to get out quickly and when I went back to check all the bags were out at 9:58 she was starting on the bathroom! I feel that the communal areas are a little dated and it would be possible to install a second bathroom, but on balance we all agree we would choose this flat again because of its location and the fact that we were out most of the time, but we'd all bring ear plugs!
- Caroline, July 2018Rachel “Such a lovely apartment in the middle of Betws-y-Coed.”
Great location. Well presented and maintained. Owner was very attentive before and after our stay. Highly recommend this property
- Rachel, May 2018Hannah “We throughly enjoyed our holiday at the station flat.”
It is in a suburb location with beautiful walks and exciting activities alike. Only negative points were that one double bed was uncomfortable (with a dip in the middle) and a window leaked when we had heavy rain. Regardless of these issues the flat is spacious and clean and perfect for our large family group. We would love to return!
- Hannah, April 2018Victor “We have used Sykes before and normally they give good quality properties.”
However this time we are truly disappointed. We paid near £900 for a 4 night stay for 5 people and it seems like the owner didn't really care the state of the place. There's cobweb we can see around the flat. The guest book has an entry about shower not draining properly and it is still the case on our visit. It is a long Easter weekend and they gave us 2 rolls of toilet rolls. Also there is no coffee/tea/sugar/salt or anything to make us feel welcome. I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially given the price
- Victor, March 2018Anna “Lovely stay, plenty of space for 8 adults.”
The living area is great for staying in for an evening meal, we also enjoyed a great meal at the pub across the road. Will definitely be coming back!
- Anna, March 2018Catherine “Beautiful stay in this property.”
Myself and friends ran the British fell relays it was equipped with everything we needed. Would be nice to have a second toilet between 8 of us. This wouldn’t put us off staying again. Can’t wait to return thank you.
- Catherine, October 2017Ann “This was a family weekend away attending my niece's wedding nearby.”
The station flat was perfect ! Spacious, clean and a great central location. Good communication with Kay made everything easy. We will be coming back here again in the future! Thank you!
- Ann, April 2017Zoe “Very good weekend in a beautiful flat”
- Zoe, January 2017Felicity “Station flat is perfectly located at Betws y coed, the flat has everything you need, it is very spacious, comfortable and clean, a view of the train station one side and view of the village green the other.”
We did not have any problems at all, no noise from the shops below, the trains do not run through the night so no noise from there. We climbed snowdon and appreciated the lovely comfy beds after it. We will def visit again.
- Felicity, October 2016David “Great location for exploring Snowdonia.”
- David, October 2016Mike “THE WHOLE FAMILYU BEING TOGETHER AND TOTALLY AT EASE.”
- Mike, September 2016Charles “Good value for money.”
..
- Charles, September 2016Mary “The flat was far more spacious than I was expecting and the kitchen was extremely well equipped.”
It felt less like a holiday cottage and more like a home from home. There was even children's and adults books available to read and toys for the children to play with. The children said the flat was 'awesome' and they would like to live there! The location could not have been better for our groups range of ages: we had toddlers to teenagers to OAP's, fit and unfit. There were local walks to suit all abilities without the need to go in a car; the minature railway kept the younger children amused while the older ones browsed the shops. The recreation ground provided a great place for the children to play while the more sedentary ones of us could keep an eye on them from the decking. If I return to Snowdonia this will be my first choice of accommodation.
- Mary, August 2016Nick “Location: Betws-y-Coed is a fantastic location for the entire family to have a wonderfully enjoyable holiday.”
The facilities available are perfect for every member of the family and is not far from any main town. Lot of wonderful walks, cycling, fishing, Snowdon and much, much more. We will be returning. Property: The Station Flat is a little be tired and would do well to have a bit of a modernisation. An extra bathroom/shower room wouldn't be a bad addition. Some blinds in the kitchen to take the heat of the sun away from the exposed fridge. Thank you
- Nick, August 2016Lynne “Spent a fantastic week in the Station flat.”
It was so comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The balcony was a highlight and was great to sit out and watch the world go by! Great location close to Llanberis and Snowdon. Caught the train to Llandudno and had a great day at the Orme. Would highly recommend the flat.
- Lynne, July 2016Anita “Station Flat is in a great location and is a lovely place to stay.”
Everything you need with excellent bedrooms We loved It!!
- Anita, May 2016Alison “The location in the village and in Snowdonia was excellent - loved the trains!”
The flat was very well equipped and of good quality, and a great shower !
- Alison, April 2016Michael “The Station Flat location is perfect for us, we know the village and area very very well and is always are base.”
- Michael, February 2016James “Had a wonderful weekend in Station Flat.”
In a great location with plenty of space and everything you need. Can't wait to return next year!
- James, December 2015Karen “Station Flat was very spacious and well equipped.”
Even though it sleeps 8 people, there was plenty of room to not be on top of one another. We would not hesitate in recommending this flat.
- Karen, July 2015Jessica “The location was great both for our avid train watching children who loved watching the trains on the mainline and being just across from the miniature railway.”
Betws-y-Coed is also usefully located for lots of other attractions in North Wales. The trains were not disruptive, being pretty quiet and infrequent. The flat was plenty big enough for our party of 6 and had everything we needed. Having a washer/dryer was brilliant with three small children!
- Jessica, July 2015Mary “This is a large spacious apartment which suited our extended family with 2 young granddaughters.”
It is very well decorated with ample storage space. The playroom was a big hit with the children. We enjoyed the large balcony and had some meals out there. The field opposite and the children's railway were also well used. Betws-y-Coed is a lovely area within easy reach of mountains, hillside and beach. We would definitely recommend for many reasons.
- Mary, June 2015Gary “This is a lovely apartment in a prime location for exploring a beautiful part of Wales.”
- Gary, February 2015Sandra “We all had a very lovely weekend at the cottage and would highly recommend to other guests looking for somewhere that is close to the Zip Wire.”
The cottage was quite large and felt very homely. The owner was able to be contacted straight away to arrange keys, even though I was trying to organise it from the middle of Africa and she made sure the house was warm for our arrival.
- Sandra, February 2015Alison “Lovely accommodation with a really well equipped kitchen.”
- Alison, November 2014Geraint “An extremely spacious apartment in a great location.”
The one twin bed room with an attached playroom was a great hit with the two six year olds in our party, it was great that they had their own space. We all really enjoyed our stay.
- Geraint, October 2014Lesley “Central location and beautiful area - good walking and mountain biking.”
Good eating places and outdoor shops in abundance.
- Lesley, September 2014Alan “Station Flat is well furnished and extremely spacious.”
Upon arrival it was very clean. It is in a fantastic location situated right on the station. There is plenty to do in the area which has some stunning scenery. A very enjoyable week was had with visits to Llandudno, the Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway and a climb up Snowdon. Would definitely recommend a stay at this fantastic property.

Parking was across the road, apartment was very spacious, clean and warm. There were 5 of us and we all agree that when we return we are staying here again. Thank you
- Eilish, February 2014Mrs Bacon “Station Flat was in such an amazing spot, so close to everything.”
The walks that are a stones throw from your door were superb and the area is very central to everything. The house itself was great, very well equipped and very large. A great little place for a lovely relaxing break.
- Mrs Bacon, December 2013Gillian “We booked the flat for a reunion with old friends, and found the property excellent.”
It was spacious, light, and had everything we needed. It was in the perfect spot for shops, pubs, restaurants, etc, and also lots to do around. We think we will return next year.
- Gillian, November 2013Jeremy “Plenty of space and well equipped.”
The location was great, and the owner was very helpful. I would definitely look to see if this flat was available when next in the area with our group.
