“The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay, including additional touches that you wouldn't expect (tea, coffee, shower gel, dish cloths etc).”

The beds were comfy, and the property was so cozy, it was like home from home. The hosts were welcoming and on hand if needed - nothing was too much trouble. There's a beautiful map in the hallway to show you places to visit along with a folder with lots of useful information about the local area. The enclosed courtyard was ideal for our dog but we also let her into the main garden too. The property is located between Nefyn and Pwllheli which is ideal to go on day trips to all the breath-taking ...

There's a beautiful map in the hallway to show you places to visit along with a folder with lots of useful information about the local area. The enclosed courtyard was ideal for our dog but we also let her into the main garden too. The property is located between Nefyn and Pwllheli which is ideal to go on day trips to all the breath-taking beaches in the area from Black rock sands to Hell's Mouth beach. Oh and the coastal walk in Morfa Nefyn is well worth a trip (including lunch at the Ty Coch Inn). It was just perfect - we had the best time and we will definitely be back!!

“Excellent property!”

The apartment was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished and well stocked with coffee, tea, hand wash, shower gel etc. The property is in a lovely peaceful area, but located within easy reach of the coast and many beaches. “Lovely apartment set on the lower floor of a beautiful house, which has great views of the mountains of Eryri and local fields.”

There is a small field/large garden to the side with a bench you can sit on to have your morning cuppa and enjoy the views. It's very quiet, most of the time you can only hear the birds. There was some temporary building work going on during the day at a cottage that's being renovated in the grounds but it didn't bother us at all. Plenty of parking space, really comfortable furniture, spotlessly clean, with all the utensils and bits and bobs you need for a self catering cottage. We even had two vases full of freshly cut flowers from the garden on arrival, with my favourite sweet peas incorporated. Chris and Alison have done a lot of research about local shops, restaurants and places to visit which you can view on a map and get more information about in the guest book which is ideal for first time visitors or people who haven't had time to do their homework before arriving. If there was anything you need to ask you didn't feel as if you were a pain, and Chris and Alison were extremely kind all week. The perfect mixture of hospitality and privacy. Dogs Inca, Mouse and Rosie are so friendly and gorgeous and not a nuisance or noisy and were a lovely addition that we sometimes got to pet or throw balls for when we wanted to. There's also a full size table tennis table outside. No negatives at all, would highly recommend.

“We had the most relaxing stay here and the amenities on hand were second to none.”

Chris and Alison has gone above and beyond in leaving milk, cookies, treats for the dogs and fresh flowers for us and were always on hand should we need anything. The wall map of local attractions was very detailed. Whatever direction you go, you are about a 10 min drive from one of the gorgeous beaches. They let us use their garden for the dogs which was a Godsend and the dogs had a great time being able to lie out in the enclosed garden. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and the only downside is that we couldn't stay longer.

“This is a fabulous apartment, owners are very friendly but not intrusive.”

Everything is exceptionally clean, it is the best place we have stayed in six years of travelling around the Lynn Peninsula. Well stocked with many extras provided. Lovely comfortable beds in both rooms. Private courtyard and owners allow you to enter their beautiful gardens, so tranquil .... the perfect place to relax and unwind.

“This was a very last minute booking made at noon on the day of arrival.”

The owners Chris and Alison kindly agreed despite it giving them hardly any time to prep the accommodation. We were greeted warmly as we pulled up by Chris who was already waiting in the rain to show us in! What an absolute gem of a place and a real find the apartment turned out to be. Chris went through everything we needed to know and even pointed out the map he and Alison have placed on the wall in the hallway with all the local information and places to visit highlighted on it. A great idea! There was fresh milk in the fridge and lots of tea, coffee and tasty sultana shortbread biscuits for us too! Plus a dog bowl, doggie treats and even poo bags and a ball for our golden lab Albie - these guys had thought of everything and everyone who would be staying! Such thoughtful attention to detail, which compared to some places we've stayed at, really places them above the rest. The accommodation, for its location and price point, blew us away quite frankly. Although it is attached to the owners' own beautiful country house, you wouldn't know it. The apartment offers great privacy and tranquility, yet Chris and Alison are on hand should you need their help or advice with anything. Or just want to play with their three gorgeous springers/sprockers which were great fun! The place was just stunning and pristinely clean throughout. Being a cold and wet March day it was also lovely and warm too. A great sized sitting room, with a super comfy sofa and chair opened onto a spacious, well equipped kitchen with a big family table that seats six. One bedroom was served by a separate bathroom with shower and a corner bath and the other bedroom had its own en suite wet room. Instant hot water, with great water pressure, so good strong showers in both. Freshly laundered towels, ample shower gel, hand wash, loo roll - everything. The beds were spotlessly clean and super comfy and there were additional, thick fleecy blankets for over the duvets if required - we didn't need these as the whole place was warm throughout. There were books to read, board games to play and a brilliant outside area, under cover too, with a ping pong table and chairs to sit at. Chris and Alison even offered up the grounds of their own house for Albie to run around if needed, accessed through a small gate in the courtyard area. They've even installed an outside doggie shower for when you arrive back from a walk with your pooch! It's these little things, added extras, that make such a difference. The location of Bryn Moelyn apartment is stunning. Lush green fields as far as the eye can see, so lots of great walking and scenery if that's your bag. Great for cycling too. We loved it. The towns and villages of Pwllheli, Nefyn, Criccieth and Porthmadog are all easily accessible and just a short car journey away. Some of the finest beaches lie along the coastline near to the apartment. In conclusion, if you're looking for a superb, homely getaway in a location that allows you to explore all that the wonderful Lyn Peninsula has to offer, Bryn Moelyn should without question be at the top of your list. It accommodates four very comfortably, plus your four legged friends too. Chris and Alison are consummate hosts who have really set the bar high with Bryn Moelyn. It goes without saying that we will definitely be returning to enjoy their warm hospitality very soon and we have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bryn Moelyn to anyone looking for a beautifully appointed holiday rental in this part of North Wales...we do so in a heart beat! “What a wonderful week we had at Bryn Moelyn apartment!”

Chris and Alison were perfect hosts, providing us with detailed instructions how to find the apartment and offering a very warm welcome when we arrived. The property is perfectly perched on a hillside so is very private and tranquil. We were invited to use our hosts private garden and surrounding fields to exercise our 2 dogs, which were amazing. The apartment (which I would describe as a cosy cottage) had everything we needed for our stay. Very well equipped, beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches - everything spotlessly presented. We had good weather, for January, and enjoyed beach, headland and woodland walks. Such a gorgeous area in all directions. Would not hesitate to recommend. We would certainly love to return in the future and wish Chris and Alison every success with the planned refurbishment of their 2nd cottage. I’m sure it will be as gorgeous as their apartment.

Although we did find that it got rather hot in the kitchen/ living room due to the radiator being on constantly in the kitchen. The location is a fantastic base for exploring the llyn peninsula. “What an incredible cottage!”

From fresh flowers, the furnishings right down to the well thought out essential kitchen and bathroom supplies, all done with attention to detail to create a home from home experience. The cottage is warm and cosy yet very spacious. The surrounding gardens are peaceful, and the wind-protected courtyard provides the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors too. Well situated out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to convenience stores and daily trips. The compiled sightseeing file and map helped us plan our days and gave us suggestions we had not considered. A dog-friendly environment! In keeping with the TV program “Four in a Bed “our rating is: Hospitality 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Location 10/10 And the huge question all the hosts want to hear: Would we return? Absolutely YES! We believe the listing is 100% accurate but we will check it again so as not to mislead anyone. Comfort is somewhat subjective but no other guests have raised any issues. Was it something specific? The lack of some facilities was possibly the 2 pieces of furniture you thought would improve the Apartment and as you are aware we purchased those before you departed and they are now in the Apartment. “Due to holiday traffic we were later arriving than expected but Chris was on hand to show us round the poperty and explain how everything worked.”

The poperty was spotless and in a great location with acces to the sea in either direction from the apartment an easy 5 minute drive (either Pwhelli or Nefyn/Morfa Nefyn). As an area we are unfamiliar with, we really enjoyed all the walks we did with some great scenery and lovely views. Would definitely recommend Bryn Moelyn Apartment and we hope to return at some point.

(wifi, sky, Netflix for the kids) The location was ideal, only a couple of miles to the coast & beaches either way, with great views over to Snowdonia. Bryn Moelyn Apartment is a wonderful property located on the outskirts of Boduan, near Morfa Nefyn (3.9 miles) on the Llyn Peninsula.

Nefyn 1.5 miles; Pwllheli 7 miles; Abersoch 11 miles.

The pretty coastal village of Morfa Nefyn sits atop sweeping cliffs on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, and features a fine two-mile stretch of sandy beach, popular with families. Morfa Nefyn, has a garage, a wonderful village shop with a cafe, two pubs and restaurants. The nearby town of Nefyn also offers a selection of shops, post office, pubs and restaurants, and both are within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli, Abersoch and the charming village of Boduan. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and watersports are all available. The Snowdonia National Park is 25 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and superb walks, and many outdoor activity centers for the more energetic visitors. Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches, cliffs, and wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore. The Llyn Peninsula is itself renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking, and features a 91 mile long section of the Welsh Coastal Path that extends from nearby Porthmadog all the way around the peninsula to Caernarfon on the north coast. Also within easy reach are Portmeirion, the Isle of Anglesey, Caernarfon and Bangor. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, Morfa Nefyn makes a superb base for a break.
