The property

Hyfrydle, a wonderful, four-bedroom mid-terrace home situated in the tranquil setting of Borth-y-Gest near Porthmadog in North Wales.

For a group or family of six, Hyfrydle is an ideal North Wales holiday home, with a private, enclosed elevated terrace from which you can view the mountain peaks above the roof.

The location is ideal, as it is just a short walk from the harbour and Borth-y-Gest beach.

The first of two sitting rooms, complete with soft sofas and a flat-screen TV with Freesat, awaits you as you enter the house, where you can curl up and watch a movie with your loved ones.

Relax in the second of two sitting rooms, which has a TV with Freesat and a gas fire for added warmth or if you'd prefer a quiet moment or to watch something different, retire to the second sitting room also well-equipped with a TV with Sky.

The budding chef of the group will have all they need to whip up culinary delights in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, which also houses a dishwasher and washing machine, ideal for keeping your space tidy!

Settle down at the dining table for six to savour a delicious meal, or if the weather is nice, why not dine alfresco out on the private first-floor terrace as you savour the last of the day’s sunshine?

As your eyes grow heavy, retreat inside where you will find four well-appointed bedrooms on the first floor, two doubles and two singles, each with plenty of storage for your belongings.

The Black Rock Llama attraction is just a short drive away, where you can take llama treks over the undulating Welsh hills, ensuring a memorable day!

For those nights when you don't feel like cooking, Hyfrydle's Moorings Bistro and Seaview Café Bistro & Coffee Lounge are just a short walk away.

If you're in the mood for an old-fashioned train ride, head to Porthmadog, where you can ride on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways or the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway.

Porthmadog's Maritime Museum is also located in the town's beautiful harbour, making it a great place to learn more about the town's rich past.

Take a trip into Snowdonia National Park and you'll find Blaenau Ffestiniog, which is home to the Zip World activity centre and Bounce Below, where you can have a fun-filled day with your family.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caerforn . The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see. Also within reach is the famous Zip World Slate Caverns and Bounce Below where you can get involved with a variety of activities including the thrilling zip wires and underground caverns to explore; there is something here to suit the whole family.
