“Lovely property and perfect size for our party of ten.”

Decor and facilities were top drawer and location less than 5 mins walk from town/beach. Beautiful garden, with lovely views of the coast. The only thing lacking was a bathroom on the top floor, which was a shame in a property of this size. But other than that we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property

Creigir Wen, a lovely detached property, is located on the tranquil outskirts of Abersoch.

A huge Victorian villa with gorgeous interiors and ample parking for up to six cars, this is an ideal setting for a family of ten on a coastal trip.

The property has three magnificent seating areas where you can spend quality time with your family or unwind with a smaller group after a day at the beach; the first of these is a grand sitting room with rustic furnishings, ample plush sofas, two of which are located by the windows with distant sea views and one in front of the flatscreen TV.

The beautiful snug is just off the second sitting room and is a friendly space with a huge sofa lying under rustic, exposed beams and is where you can stretch out in front of the woodburning stove and supplementary TV.

With vast marble worktops and an array of top-notch gadgets, including a large range oven and even a Nespresso machine, the kitchen/diner is where you can prepare a mouth-watering dinner in style.

When supper is ready, head over to the lovely dining room and gather around the country-style table to raise a glass to this amazing foundation and wonderful break.

A utility room is close, and it includes not just a fridge and freezer, but also your laundry facilities.

When the sun goes down, head upstairs to find five bedrooms spread across two upper floors, including a wonderful king-size with windows framing the sea view and an en-suite shower room with toasty underfloor heating and His and Hers basins; continue along to find two more king-size rooms with beautiful décor, one with access to an enclosed terrace.

A family bathroom with a huge corner bath and a fantastic shower room round out the first floor.

Ascend the stairs to the second floor, where two additional bedrooms await, one a king-size room and the other a twin; both rooms have vaulted ceilings, twin VELUX windows that let in plenty of light, and enough of storage for your belongings.

The decked terrace at the back is a fantastic site to enjoy the sun and really absorb the vista around the home; descend the steps to find a lawned area where the youngsters may play to their hearts' content.

Travel into Abersoch, where you can find your necessities along the High Street, as well as a variety of rentals where you can hire a surfboard or even a boat to make the most of the sandy beach's waters; golfers will also be delighted to hear that the hamlet is home to a prominent, oceanfront golf club.

Make your way through Llanbedrog's heathland to the breathtaking viewpoint before meandering through the woodland to the impressive Plas Glyn y Weddw Gallery; Llanbedrog hamlet also has a magnificent beach and plenty of cafes to stop for a bite to eat.

Pwllheli is located further along the coast and features a Marina, the Plas Heli sailing event area, two expansive beaches, and numerous restaurants, notably the highly renowned PONTOON restaurant.

Make the most of the region's surrounding vistas by venturing to Uwchmynydd, which has a birdwatching area and cliff views, or continue along the coast to reach Criccieth and Porthmadog for beachfront adventures.

Creigir Wen is an amazing retreat nestled among the beautiful scenery of Abersoch.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
