“WOW !! What a place to stay, everything you need to make a perfect base for a holiday”

. Spacious warm and comfortable, beautifully decorated, and then there are the views. You could sit for hours staring out of the window at the ever changing picture. The combined sea and mounting views are stunning. We loved that you could walk to the village and the beach with all the amenities. I really couldnt fault anything and look forward to coming back. Thank you

The property

The Anchorage, a charming mid-terrace holiday property in Abersoch, North Wales, is located in a quiet cul-de-sac.

At The Anchorage, you'll find magnificent sea views, off-street parking for three cars, and a big, private garden that's perfect for families or groups of eight looking to explore the Llyn Peninsula.

After a day at the beach, head upstairs to the open-plan living area, where you'll find everything you need for a self-catering vacation is just a short distance away.

For the designated chef, the kitchen is finished to a high quality and features shaker-style fixtures and marble-style countertops.

Dinner can be served in the dining room or on the balcony, where you can take in the beautiful views of the back garden.

After a long day, relax in the sitting room with a movie night, where you may watch one of the many Freeview channels or bring your favorite DVD to watch in front of the electric fireplace.

When the sun goes down, make your way to the first floor, where you'll discover a lovely double room with a view of the Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountains and the Cambrian Mountains.

There are three more well-presented bedrooms in the lower level, one of which has a bunk bed ideal for kids or extra visitors and comes equipped with a Smart TV and DVD Player.

Two of the bedrooms are stylish doubles.

Also on the ground floor is the family bathroom, complete with a bath for a well-earned rest after a day of hiking or biking, and a wet room with a large shower for a refreshing rinse.

The utility room on the ground floor includes a washing machine, which is ideal for washing sand- or wetsuit-covered clothing.

In the Garden there is a shed for storing beach gear and a patio and lawned area to relax on while the appointed chef grills up a nice meal, the back yard is perfect for entertaining guests.

Visit the pubs, restaurants, and shops in Abersoch's town center before taking a stroll along the River Soch, paddling or sailing in the harbor at Main Beach, or participating in a putting contest at the nearby golf club.

There are also plenty of other things to do in Abersoch.

Take a short drive from Abersoch to a farm shop that carries local goods and products, then relax on Machroes Beach and have a sweet treat from Mickey's Boatyard Tearooms.

If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Abersoch, head west to Llanengan, where you can visit the Llanengan Hillfort, where the remnants of a lead mine may be found, eat at The Sun Inn, or take a walk along the Llyn Coastal Path.

In this part of Wales, there is much more to see, from the close towns of Aberdaron and Pwllheli to the quaint villages of Trefor and Criccieth further out.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
