“The owners of this property are first class, we arrived late in the afternoon at short notice to a bright, clean and warm cottage.”

It is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely linen and the shower is fantastic! The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. If you want a luxury stay in Conwy choose this beautiful place!

“Loved our stay in the cottage.”

The house is in a perfect location in the centre of Conwy. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children and the cottage was equipped with anything needed to make it a perfect stay. The house was cosy and warm, beautiful furnishings throughout, comfy beds, a nice sized bathroom with walk in shower and dual sinks and in the modern and fully equipped kitchen, the owners have thought of everything a visitor could possibly need. We loved Conwy and would definitely book this accommodation again.

Light, bright, clean and super central. Cosy. Workable if you want to eat in, so can be used as home from home situ. Some places are cramped and eat out only. Not so here. Alison was helpful if needed. My only improvement? storage space for clothing. I would stay again.

“A wonderful cottage it was more than we expected.”

We arrived at 12 and parked our car outside as we were not to get the key until 3 however the owner was just walking to the cottage and gave my husband the key so we were in the cottage very early. The cottage was very clean and it was like home from home and a brilliant base to explore Wales. We definitely recommend this cottage and are hoping to go back.

All finished to a high standard - beds really comfortable. Bathroom very nice. If evenings are chilly the log burner is easy to use and makes for a lovely cosy sitting room. We have nothing bad to say about our stay - would go back like a shot. Location is central to Conwy itself which is a gorgeous little harbour village. Loads of places to eat, nice pubs, independent shops - all very dog friendly. There is a local Spar within walking distance for essentials. Bakers and delis all on the doorstep too. Don't hesitate - just book - you won't regret it :-)

“We loved the cottage and it was very comfortable.”

Everything in the cottage was done to a high standard and all the finishing touches and accessories were lovely. My only slight problem if I'm knit picking is the garden furniture. We sat out a lot as the weather was lovely but after a while the seating became uncomfortable. It was fine for eating outside so maybe a couple of sun chairs would do it.

“23 Chapel Street is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage, it had everything we needed and being within the town walls makes it ideal for walking to the quay and local shops.”

All the bedrooms are spacious and decorated immaculately. Stunning spacious bathroom. Great lounge/dining area. Well equipped kitchen and fabulous patio area which is very private and has lovely views of Plas Mawr and the hills behind Conwy Castle. Alison the owner made sure we had everything we needed and was always on hand. Highly recommend

“We had a wonderfully-relaxing week in Conwy staying at 23 Chapel Street.”

Everything you could think of was there and the owner, Alison, was so helpful by contacting us on the first day to let us know the cottage was available sooner and to ask if we needed anything. She was very knowledgeable about the area and could suggest activities for our children if we needed any ideas. The beds were so comfortable and everything we could have needed was provided and the log burner was absolutely wonderful in the cooler evenings. We were welcomed with some Welsh lemon cake and Prosecco which was a lovely touch! We will be booking again!

“The cottage was lovely, comfortable, well equipped, clean and in a great location, close to plenty of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and individual shops and within easy walking distance of the harbour and marina.”

We had a choice of two car parks nearby but could also park on the road outside the property. There was a spar just round the corner and we were able to shop for a couple of things we forgot. Our host was absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay in this cottage.

“The house needs a deep clean!”

On arrival carpets particularly staircase was dirty. Large amounts of dog hair and dust under living room sofa which we had to clean. I don't find this acceptable regardless of being dog friendly and demonstrates the house is not adequately cleaned between stays (the owner admitted she does not pullback and clean under sofa each time). Cobwebs and dusty picture frames. Not up to a good standard, particularly considering the cost. Frustratingly we found the following week the house hundreds of pounds less. My mum rang the owner to give this feedback but was met with quite an aggressive and defensive response. The house would have potential with suggested changes, but number 1 being a deep clean!

I am very sorry to hear you were unhappy with your stay. As I contacted you on three or four occasions to check if you needed anything and you replied to say you did not, this review does come as a surprise to us and is very upsetting particularly in light of the glowing reviews we have had in the past. I have emailed a photograph of the carpet you mentioned to Sykes to demonstrate there were no stains. “Lovely cottage right in the middle of Conwy.”

It was very homely. The cottage could use a deep clean as there was a lot of dust and cobwebs upon closer inspection. Depending on time of year/holiday season parking could be a real issue. Even out of season, we struggled with the parking outside. Given the in season prices to stay at this cottage, its not really good value for money, and the lack of parking would put me off booking this property again.

Thank you for the feedback. Conwy is a historic town and the streets and parking is on roadside. I'm unaware of any holiday cottages within the Town walls with allocated parking. However these guests did park outside the cottage for the week. There are 2 car parks in Conwy town. The cottage was re decorated in December 2021 and all the furniture was moved to paint etc. Property Owner

“Very well furnished cottage, modern, clean,and everything in the kitchen you needed, tea, coffee, sugar , all provided, bottle of wine and chocs on arrival, Hosts could not be helpful enough when broadband was not working, and soon rectified the problem.”

Cottage was very convenient five min walk to sea front, and five Min walk to town centre. Only downside was the parking, but we would return again without hesitation..

“It’s not often that you find the cottage is even better than the pics!”

A lovely aroma of lime and basil is in every room. Everything in the cottage is finished to a very high standard, with good quality furniture, even the cutlery, crockery, and glass ware , were all sparkling and new looking. The beds are very comfortable making for a good nights sleep. The patio garden is a sun trap, it’s a very pleasant space, walled and white washed. We spent a few lovely evening s there with a bottle of wine. Also great if you have a dog with you as it’s safe . I also loved that it wasn’t over looked. The owners are very helpful, and took the time to contact me and check all was well when we arrived a day late. Highly recommend this cottage and it’s great location! Will book again

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
