“We (baby, dog, parents and grandparents) had a fabulous family holiday at Min Y Don.”

The house is beautifully decorated with real flair and style whilst maintaining a very cosy, homely feel. We enjoyed sitting round the log burner with a cup of tea and relaxing in the living room with views of the castle. The house is ideally located for exploring Conwy (2 min walk and you are in the ancient castle walls) and the local area. Conwy Morfa beach is lovely for a dog walk. Just two small things to consider providing to make the stay perfect: dishwasher tabs and firelighters.

Min Y Don, which can accommodate a family of six, is an excellent base from which to explore this beautiful region of Wales, since it is close to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and the picturesque shoreline.

When you arrive, you'll find on-street parking before ascending the steps (which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility) to your lovely home-away-from-home.

Head to the sitting area, which features a toasty gas fire and a magnificent blue colour scheme throughout, as well as a Smart TV to keep you entertained while you relax on the sumptuous sofas.

Continue to the living/dining room, which is attractively designed to relax with a wonderful book in one of the armchairs or sit down for a family dinner at the dining table as the woodburner crackles away in the background.

The kitchen is close by and features excellent shaker-style fittings as well as numerous appliances, including a dishwasher, to suit any aspiring chef.

The utility room, which is located behind the property, has a washing machine and a tumble dryer, so you can keep your holiday clothes pristine during your break.

At the end of the day, head upstairs to one of three wonderfully decorated bedrooms, two of which include king-size beds with plenty of storage and original feature fireplaces.

The last bedroom is a twin with flowery touches perfect for a good nights sleep with quality memory foam matress'!

The bedrooms have access to a fantastic bathroom, a white suite with a unique touch of mosaic flooring, as well as a separate bath and walk-in shower.

Make the most of the magnificent garden, which features lawned spaces which are great for your canine companions to stretch their legs on, as well as a patio area with views of Conwy Castle, which can be enjoyed during an alfresco dinner.

Take a short 3 minute walk into Conwy, a town rich in history that can be learned about on a tour of the Castle, before playing a round of golf at the local club or relaxing on the beach.

For extra fun by the sea, head to Llandudno, where you'll find a promenade with sea views, restaurants, and entertainment, as well as a fantastic pier and the outdoor haven of Great Orme Country Park.

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
