“Fabulous holiday home, we had a wonderful week there.”

Very spacious house, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, lots of board games, books and area guides, spectacular views, fantastic location. We have been staying in cottages in Wales for 16 years and this is one of the best we've stayed in, it's very homely and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. We had a beautiful welcome basket too on arrival which was a lovely surprise and milk and butter in the fridge. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for a lovely week, we would ...

The property

Set a stone’s throw away from the stunning waters of Cardigan Bay in the quaint town of Criccieth rests this charming four-storey Victorian holiday home, Enfys.

Overlooking the scenic coastline of the Llyn Peninsula, Enfys offers the perfect base for your next holiday to North Wales.

Upon arrival, the coastal blue exterior of the building will delight you, before stepping over the threshold into a handy hallway which provides the perfect space to house your beach going essentials or muddy boots.

Continuing through the property, you will be welcomed into a bright and airy living/dining room, beautifully presented with a traditional home-from-home interior, boasting a snug seating area for gathering in front of the television for movie nights together, and also a grand wooden dining table with seating for twelve guests to gather around to relive the days adventures.

Venture through to the adjoining kitchen, featuring an intimate dining table and a stylish breakfast bar, providing additional seating, as well as a contemporary kitchen, fit with all the amenities necessary to assist you in your self-catering needs.

End the day in style and step outside to the patio to enjoy a refreshing glass of wine under the canopy of the stars, or head upstairs to the snug sitting room for an intimate escape away from the excitement and nestle into an armchair in front of the bay window to take in the panoramic sea views or settle down for a quiet read.

When it’s time to rest your head, you will be spoilt for choice between the six delightful bedrooms, with a king-size bedroom alongside a double room neighbouring the sitting room on the first-floor, both benefiting from their own en-suites.

Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom, fit with a sumptuous king-size bed and boasting a spacious en-suite bathroom with an elegant free-standing bath and walk-in shower.

The family bathroom is nestled on the third-floor, fitted with a bath and overhead shower, giving guests the choice between soaking their muscles amongst the bubbles or a quick morning rinse, Across the way is a twin room and two additional king-size bedrooms, one of which frames glorious far-reaching views across the coast.

Head off on foot and take the short stroll to Marine Beach, offering views as far as Barmouth and Harlech Castle, where you can bask in the sun and sand and even enjoy an invigorating dip in the waters of Cardigan Bay.

If you’d prefer to stay on land, explore the heritage at Castell Criccieth, dating back to 791, or indulge in a portion of takeaway fish and chips with a walk along the colourful promenade, in true seaside tradition.

Within easy reach is the popular seaside resort of Abersoch, home to magnificent golden sand backed by colourful beach huts, where water sports adventurers can tackle the waves with a lesson in windsurfing, or soak in the views of the bay from one of the many beachfront eateries.

Venture further afield to explore the varied landscape of the picturesque Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), stretching over 823 square miles of rugged mountain ranges, river gorges, waterfalls and green valleys, where avid hikers can tackle the challenging climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales.

With all of this and more, choose Enfys as an idyllic base to explore the delights of North Wales.
