“Really enjoyed our stay ,,well equipped and very clean !”

The bed was very comfy too. Would definitely stay there again . My only nit pick was the garden bushes leading up to the garden needed a little trim back .

A charming mid-terrace stone cottage settled in the village of Garndolbenmaen on the fringes of the Snowdonia National Park, Lavender Cottage is the perfect North Wales property for a couples' escape.

Sleeping four guests in two bedrooms, Lavender Cottage is ideal for those seeking to explore the Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coast, being nearby to the Llyn Peninsula and Porthmadog.

Step inside this homely abode and be welcomed into the living/dining room, with a wealth of thoughtful touches to make your stay fun-filled, from the great selection of board games and the cupboard full of DVDs, to the Smart TV with freesat and soft seating.

Relax before the woodburning stove which sits within an exposed stone fireplace, or take a seat at the pew from the local church at the dining table for a home-cooked meal.

Head through to the galley kitchen to discover a compact yet amply-equipped space, with a slimline dishwasher being a welcome addition to your relaxing stay.

Head outside to the garden and make use of the several different areas, all made dog-safe with a patio accessed from the kitchen and steps leading to a path down the garden with barbecue area, to a lawned area with beautiful mountain views.

Freshen up in the ground-floor bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, before taking the stairs to one of the two bedrooms, the first home to a double bed against the wall and the second offering a king-size, each with ample storage, while a unique display in homage to the popularity of climbing in the area adds a fantastic touch to the landing.

Get to know this area by embarking on plenty of outdoor adventures like climbing, with the nearby village of Tremadog home to a popular spot Craig Pant Ifan along with lots more in the Snowdonia National Park.

Enjoy a range of activities in Snowdonia from watersports like wild swimming and kayaking in the lakes, to hiking and cycling up challenging peaks and mountains, there's something to test everyone, with nearby mountains including Moel Hebog, Mynydd Mawr, and Craig Cwm Silyn.

Attempt to walk the biggest peak of them all, Snowdon, or take the more leisurely route from the village of Llanberis where you can catch the mountain railway up to the top and still enjoy the epic vistas.

The Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railway departs from Porthmadog and offers an amazing chance to soak up miles of stunning scenery, and visit the delightful town of Blaneau Ffestiniog, home to the famous Zip World Slate Caverns where you can experience flying through the air at top speeds across a disused quarry!

Explore the beach of Blackrock Sands just outside of Porthmadog, or venture further afield to Harlech and visit Harlech Castle while you're there, with the Llyn Peninsula also home to some beautiful coastal locations including Nefyn and Abersoch, along with the sailing centre of Pwllheli too.
