    “What a lovely place to spend a week with children and grandchildren (6 under 10 years).”

    The Beach House was the perfect location, with two very accessible beaches - one rocky and one sandy. There were plenty of places within easy distance to occupy on non beach days. The property was very child friendly from the play room and outside play area complete with swing and slide to the kayak and assorted buckets, spades, crabbing nets. Everyone enjoyed the Hot Tub! The kitchen layout was great, with a big family table, there was ample cupboard and fridge space and it was very well ...

The property was very child friendly from the play room and outside play area complete with swing and slide to the kayak and assorted buckets, spades, crabbing nets. Everyone enjoyed the Hot Tub! The kitchen layout was great, with a big family table, there was ample cupboard and fridge space and it was very well equipped. The two living areas, both with TVs allowed adults a 'quiet space', while the little ones watched television or played games. The beds were comfortable and, overall, it was a great place to stay.

Holyhead 2.1 miles; Rhosneigr 14 miles; Cemaes Bay 15.3 miles

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
