“We had a great stay thank you.”

Our 2 small dogs equally enjoyed the garden and the many walks we did. Thanks for the extra touches, and the cottage was so very comfortable, the beds especially. Impeccably clean and a great Llanberis base.

This gorgeous property is a fantastic base for a family or four friends, with its multitude of trails and near proximity to amenities with all you need for a self-catered stay!

When you arrive, park your car in the off-road parking spot and walk up a few steps to the entryway, which leads to a hallway.

Discover the sitting area on your left, where you may relax on the sofa while the woodburning stove crackles and the television plays your favourite shows.

Locate the kitchen/diner, which has an electric oven and hob for preparing exquisite meals and gathering around the table to tuck-in, as you move through the house.

On sunny days, head outside to the back garden, where you may relax on the garden furniture and have a drink of wine while watching the sunset.

When the sky darkens, come inside and climb the steps to the contemporary shower area for a hot rinse before the night.

Choose from a double or bunk bedroom to rest your head, both of which come with plenty of storage to keep your vacation clothes nice and tidy.

Start your day with a hot cup of coffee in the garden and a good book to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Lace up your walking boots and explore the landscape, making sure to see the dramatic Ceunant Mawr Waterfall.

Take a typical steam train ride to take in the scenery, then see Dolbadarn Castle in the 13th century before rewarding yourself with a pint at the local bar.

Visit Caernarfon, a royal town with a castle, a large golf course, and a climbing centre, to put your skills to the test!

The community of Betws-y-Coed is also worth a visit, where you can stroll through rocky paths to see Swallow Falls and have an action-packed afternoon at Zip World Fforest.

About the location

LLANBERIS

Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.

Dominated by the grandeur of the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
