“Not very clean with cobwebs everywhere, mould in the shower, toothpaste splashes to wall behind sink, hairs in the sink and in shower, log burner not cleaned with ash left in it, pots/pans and cooking trays are all old with stains all over, yard messy with step ladder/mop/buckets/bin left, rear gate rotten and hard to close, tv doesn’t work very well and kept disconnecting every 10/15 mins, wifi poor, overall the property needs some tlc and a good clean, needs a radio or smart speaker, the list may seem long but all small things which wouldn’t take much then the property would be much more appealing and if all sorted I would stay again as the property is ideally situated and could be really nice, I was a little disappointed on first impressions!”

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We have just got a new housekeeper with aim to improve cleanliness standard. We have tested the internet with TV after troubleshooting and all seems to be working well. I have just replaced pots / pans which were worn. Thank you for suggesting a speaker, this is something I will look to add to the property Property Owner

The property

An action-packed getaway is awaiting you at Ty Bach, an exceptional terraced cottage resting in the centre of Llanberis, which is one of the most popular locations for exploring the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

With so much to see and do within the surrounding area, Ty Bach is a great find for avid ramblers, adrenaline seekers or couples seeking a place to call home as they enjoy this stunning part of North Wales.

Enter into the cottage and be welcomed into the living/dining room, where the woodburning stove set within the original inglenook fireplace is the focal point of the room, and the plush sofa invites you to kick back and relax in front of the Smart TV to catch up on the latest box set.

Joining the sitting area is the dining table, where you can look forward to enjoying the company of your loved ones whilst tucking into a home cooked dish or local takeaway, before pulling open the map to plan the next day's adventure.

From here, discover the fully-equipped kitchen, boasting plenty of preparation space and all the modern conveniences required to cater for yourself, as well as a washing machine to freshen up any belongings after a bracing day on the Welsh hills.

Sleep is sure to come easy within the double bedroom, situated on the first floor, complete with a sleek en-suite shower room.

To the exterior, there is a small yard, where you and your partner can soak up the sunshine during the summer months, before lighting up the barbecue to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining.

When you do not feel like cooking, discover a range of eateries within the village, as well as pubs and shops to explore.

Avid ramblers can soak up the breath-taking scenery with a stroll around the the Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and if fitness permits, challenge yourself with a hike up the highest mountain in England and Wales, Mount Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

Alternatively, enjoy the more leisurely option of a journey along the Snowdon Mountain Railway, taking you to the doorstep of the stunning Hafod Eryri Visitor Centre or visit the lakeside Padarn Country Park, where you will find opportunities for watersports and walking, visiting wildlife and brushing up on the industrial heritage.

More outdoor action can be had in Bethesda, which is home to Zip World Velocity, the longest zip wire in Europe and Blaenau Ffestiniog, which plays host to Zip World Titan, Zip Caverns and Bounce Below, all located at Llechwedd Slate Caverns.

The coastline is also within striking distance of the cottage, as is the majestic beauty of the Isle of Anglesey, making Ty Bach an exceptional base for your next holiday in Wales.

About the location

LLANBERIS

Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.

Dominated by the grandeur of the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
