“I loved it, pure and simple, and intend to come back.”

The only issue was minor: the drain in the shower had trouble and I had to clear it myself (just hair from previous guests I guess). But the place was wonderful and, as I say, I would definitely return.

“The property is exactly like it is described.”

It's a lovely well appointed, comfortable flat in a peaceful location. We had a lovely 4 day break touring around local towns and villages using the flat as an ideal place to come home to every evening.

“I have given this a 3.”

Not because the apartment was a 3, but from the moment you drove into the drive your heart sank. It was really run down but you could see that renovations were going on. The stairs leading up to the apartment were dirty, I tried to open the window a little more for fresh air but couldn't. But when you got in the apartment it was lovely. But first impressions count.

“This is a very good place to stay, very spacious, comfortable and clean.”

. I think it could be brilliant with a few small details added. e.g. More information on the 'operational' features of the Flat 1. TV instructions, it was only partway through the week we discovered we could access stations via the internet 2. Central Heating instructions and location of temperature of hot water control, we had to boil a kettle for our hot water! 3 .Fuse box. We had a circuit 'trip out' and we had to phone the owner - who was vert helpful - for the location of the fuse box (which was outside on the landing between our and the next door flat in a cupboard. These are only small things but they can make all the difference in customer enjoyment. Finally, although nothing can be done about it, the steepness of the stairs should be more than a 'small print' item. We are both in our mid eighties and at times the stairs were a struggle, especially with suit cases

“Rhos Retreat is a lovely apartment , tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean , very comfortable and really well equipped.”

The hosts , Lynda and James are really welcoming and determined that their guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay. We loved Rhos on Sea and would be more than happy to choose Rhos Retreat on any return visit.

“Lynda and James have done a fantastic job of making this flat a comfortable and cosy home from home, ideally suited for singles and couples visiting the area.”

The main building was undergoing renovation during my visit, but this didn't impact my stay at all, and I can tell that the exterior will be as lovely as the interior when finished.

“Absolutely lovely comfy apartment.”

Spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed with nice bedding.great shower room,with lovely white fluffy towels.lynda the owner is absolutely lovely.cant do enough.we can't wait to go back.parking good, location good, very very quiet d a nice residential cul-de-sac.definitely the nicest apartment to stay .we have stayed twice, and will keep going back.10 out of 10.

“Flat 7 is a lovely flat, very clean and nicely decorated.”

However the outside of the building is very delapidated. The entrance to flat 7 is through a very shabby bin store area, which was very off putting and didn't make a good first impression. Once inside the building the communal areas are very old fashioned, and I would say that the other flats in the block are residential rather than holiday let's. All in all I would say that we were overcharged for this apartment. The surrounding properties are generally good condition, and the town and beach is lovely. Despite the above comments we enjoyed our stay.

It’s unfortunate that you found the 1930s building to be old-fashioned. What facilities are missing that you’d only score 25%? Accuracy of listing is 25%? For the sake of clarity, there are photos of the building and communal area which I’d assume you’d looked at before booking but you haven’t suggested what was missing from the facilities. As for having to see bins as you enter the building - please advise if you have a solution to people having bins. We’d be happy to act. We hope you find somewhere more in your budget for your next stay elsewhere and have a lovely time there. Property Owner

“The apartment is newly refurbished and the owners have paid great attention to detail.”

It is comfy and well equipped. The shower room is luxurious! We were able to leave the car and take a ten minute stroll into the village and prom. The buses to nearby Llandudno and Conway stopped at the end of the road. Our only concern was with the stairs, which were much steeper than we are used to and as we are in our seventies we struggled getting our luggage up and down. However someone younger and fitter would not have a problem. Thanks for a lovely stay.

“The apartment was great with everything we needed the shower unit was first class with plenty of room.”

The entrance to the property needed a lot of work as the slabs etc were in need of maintenance as could prove dangerous especially in the dark. The stairs was very steep which I found difficult as I have limited mobility. The bed room and bed was very comfortable we slept like logs. Over all we enjoyed our stay the place was spotless.thank you

“A lovely well-equipped accommodation once we were inside.”

The dustbins, neglected side building, smelly staircase and badly built car park made getting in and out unpleasant.

Unfortunately the car park cannot be redesigned, but the stairs have had a deep-clean and whatever the smell was during your stay has now gone.
