    “The place is very nice.”

    Amazing location. We had a great time. The only negative are the bed bugs. Some of our guests have come back with massive bites. I think it’s limited to one specific room. This needs to be rectified.

    Thank you for your feedback. If you would like to let us know which room you think there is a problem with we will look into it. However we have had groups staying before and after your stay, without any such issues. If you had left a window open at this time of year midges may well have come in, and been the problem. Comprised of five dormitories, two triple bunk rooms with en-suite showers and a self-contained first-floor apartment with a double, a twin and two singles, this striking stone dwelling is perfectly suited to large groups of walkers and outdoor enthusiasts looking to discover the true delights of Wales.

As you step inside this grand and well-designed dwelling, be greeted by both a handy boot room and a drying room, where you can leave your wellies and wet-suites to dry as you return from another memorable adventure exploring your surroundings.

Rinse yourself off in the ground-floor shower rooms, or delight in a long afternoon soak in the ground-floor bathroom just a few steps away.

A well-designed wet room can also be found on the ground-floor providing guests with limited mobility a safe space to shower, whilst four further shower rooms and a cloakroom rest up on the first floor.

Spend your evenings chatting with friends in the dining room as you indulge in a fabulous feast, lovingly prepared in the impressive professional kitchen, before heading up the stairs to the first floor for an entertaining evening playing table tennis in the games room or snuggling up by the woodburning stove that decorates the sitting room.

Visit the encompassing towns and villages of Criccieth, Porthmadog and Portmerrion, each home to beautiful sugary beaches, imposing local landmarks and attractions such as Criccieth Castle, the Maritime Museum and Amgueddfa Lloyd George Museum.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caerforn . The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast.
