“The holiday was good and the house large enough for us and in a good location and this is the 3rd year we have stayed.”

However the house was not very clean with cobwebs and dirty floors and the issues we reported last year with the showers have only partially been sorted and although the upstairs shower does not now leak into the bathroom below there is mould on the walls and the ceiling has still not been repaired. The beds are not great and it would be good to have better blinds (black out). The outside furniture is in a poor state and was covered in bird mess. Generally the house is looking tired and it ...

The beds are not great and it would be good to have better blinds (black out). The outside furniture is in a poor state and was covered in bird mess. Generally the house is looking tired and it doesn't look like there has been any maintenance or improvements over the last couple of years that we have stayed which is a shame as the size/layout and location are good.

Deu Draeth is a fantastic base for a self-catering holiday, surrounded by farmland and offering sea views across Hells Mouth and Bardsey Island, as well as affording a family of eight housing that has been renovated to a high standard.

After parking outside, make your way upstairs to be greeted by gorgeous, nautical furnishings, with thoughtful details such as pillows featuring marine artwork and a boat-turned-bookcase; the room also hosts TV with Sky (including Sky Kids for the little ones) and a Smart speaker.

After spending time with your loved ones in the living/dining area and admiring the sea views, step into the kitchen to find a sleek space equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious supper, including a wine chiller to keep your favourite bottles cold.

As the day draws to a close, descend the stairs to the ground floor where you will find five bedrooms, including a bright king-size room with plenty of storage, two lovely twins, and two singles; completing the ground floor is a stylish bathroom with a bath where you can treat yourself to a moment of peace and quiet among the bubbles.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
