The property

Shamrock Cottage, situated in Deganwy is a beautiful hidden gem, offering a calm escape away from the hustle and bustle while still being close to a variety of activities.

This house offers a gorgeous interior to return to after a day out, whether searching for a seaside adventure or a couple looking for a relaxing coastal trip.

Enjoy a relaxing evening in the sitting room, which provides a first glimpse of the tranquil grey, blue, and white colour scheme that flows throughout the property, reflecting the waters not far away; watch a movie on the Smart TV, curl up on the sofa with a book, or simply enjoy a conversation over an evening tipple while the woodburning stove warms you up.

Gather in the morning around the table in the dining room, which features lovely furnishings and a magnificent, antique cabinet, to plan out your day ahead of breakfast.

The kitchen is a peaceful space where you can cook up a feast using the variety of excellent appliances, including a gas oven and gas stove, fridge/freezer, and a breakfast bar to seat or work at while the meal simmers, bathed in natural light from the opaque ceiling.

In the summer, when the weather permits, enjoy some alfresco eating in the enclosed, paved courtyard while the dogs can stretch their legs.

The delightful bathroom completes the ground level, where a bath with a shower above provides a fantastic spot to freshen up each day.

Upstairs, you'll find two sizeable, inviting bedrooms, each with a light, bright interior and rustic, original wooden floorboards; choose between the king bedroom or the twin room, the latter of which can be converted to a king-size bedroom, for added flexibility.

Head into Deganwy and sample the variety of unique cafés, pubs, and bars that make ideal pit stops between activities, before heading down to Deganwy Beach, which is dog-friendly all year, and begin a walk along the Wales Coast Path that leads to Llandudno's Great Orme, home of the now-famous Goats of Llandudno.

Conwy is home to a 13th-century castle, The Smallest House In Great Britain, and independent stores.

Take a boat trip down the River Conwy, try crabbing off the jetty, or indulge in an ice cream from the famed Parisella's ice cream shop.

Llandudno is a short drive away and has many stunning attractions, including an exquisite Victorian pier lined with oddities and seaside fun, as well as the Happy Valley Botanical Gardens, the Llandudno Ski & Snowboard Centre, and much more.

With close proximity to Snowdonia and the Conwy Valley, Shamrock Cottage is an excellent location for a North Wales adventure.

About the location

DEGANWY

Conwy 2 miles; Llandudno 3.5 miles.

The town of Deganwy, on the banks of the River Conwy at the mouth of the Estuary, is a very popular holiday destination. Deganwy has a marina, a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and retains the ruins of Deganwy Castle, built in 1082 but later demolished. There is an abundance of activities to suit all interests on offer in this area; from sea fishing, walking and climbing in the Snowdonia range to enjoying the castles, mines, beaches and gardens of this beautiful stretch of the North Wales Coast. Deganwy is only a few miles from the holiday resorts of Conwy and Llandudno; Conwy boasts a medieval castle, town walls and a marina, plus winding streets which offer something for shoppers and diners alike. Llandudno was very popular during the Victorian era, and this is evident in the architecture and the very impressive promenade. The town also has a pier with family attractions, a theatre and for the more adventurous, a dry ski slope! Between Deganwy, Llandudno and Conwy, this area has so much to offer the entire family.
