“The cottage was very well-equipped, comfortable and clean.”

In particular, it was nice to have kitchen utensils in good condition - this is not always the case in holiday properties. Good location, quiet but near the village centre. Some minor issues for the owners' attention: a) we couldn't get the shower to a low enough temperature to tolerate: b) I banged my head a couple of times in the shower, maybe a notice? c) so many TVs a bit surreal and unnecessary - we didn't watch anything all week, though that was partly to do with inability to find BBC ...

Maybe one or two TVs enough with clear instructions how to use d) not clear what to do with food waste, a common problem, we usually take it home. None of this spoiled our holiday in the slightest. We were lucky with the weather but would have had a lovely time anyway. Thanks.

“Generally it was good, clean and comfortable.”

The bathroom was small. The shower wasn't very good and could be upgraded to a more powerful one. Not a place for elderly or infirm as the stairs were steep and hard for me to climb. Anyone travelling with a long car or van would find parking awkward, as I did with our van.

We are disappointed that the accommodation was not to your taste. The cottage is over 150 years old and we have endeavoured to use the internal space to meet the needs of all our guests with regard to the parking this is the first negative comment we have had on this matter. The wonderful, white-washed cottage is conveniently located near the idyllic Traeth Nefyn, a variety of local amenities, and the exciting Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park; its inviting interior is rounded out by two well-appointed bedrooms, making it an ideal base for families, friends, and couples who want to explore the wonders of North Wales with their beloved canine companions.

Step through the door into your new home and relax on the plush sofas before heading to the kitchen/dining area to whip up some delicious meals for the whole family to enjoy.

You can choose to eat inside, or head out to the garden for an alfresco meal, where you can toast your retreat while watching the sun set over Nefyn.

At the end of the day, retreat indoors to the bathroom for a refreshing shower before retiring to the double or family room with double and single beds.

Visit Traeth Nefyn during the day to bask in the sun, take a stroll with your dog, or just take in the breath-taking vistas across the sea.

Pwllheli, on the opposite coast, is a great place to go boating, kayaking, or paddleboarding, whether you're looking for a thrilling adventure or just a new perspective on the beautiful scenery.

Just a short drive away is Eryri National Park, a paradise for hikers and walkers thanks to its expansive trails and beautiful scenery.

Pwllheli 7 miles; Snowdonia 25 miles.

The pretty coastal town of Nefyn sits atop sweeping cliffs on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, and features a fine two mile stretch of sandy beach, popular with families. The town offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and is within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli and Abersoch. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and water sports are all available.
