    “A lovely house in a great location; spacious with spectacular views, ideal for a group of people who enjoy the outdoors - walks etc; if anything the house was cosier than it looked on the website.”

    The kitchen is well-equipped, though another kettle would be useful - especially for breakfasts of 16 people. The open-plan works well, though all the noise carries down to the bedrooms below - so if you light-sleeper & others still walking around - ear plugs might be useful! We liked the space of the extra 'games room', & enjoyed trying the sauna & the laundry room was useful. We had a lot of snow while we were there & were unable to move our cars for couple of days. - we helped clear snow ...

The owner (Caroline) made us feel very welcome, she was warm, helpful & friendly & was very communicative - replying to all messages; much appreciated, & helped make it a memorable & enjoyable stay. We hope to visit again. thank you Caroline.

Capel Dinorwig is a stunning, converted chapel, above Llyn Padarn, three miles from Llanberis and can sleep sixteen people.

The property is set over three floors and has a super king-size double bedroom (zip/link, can be twin on request) with en-suite shower room, two ground floor super king-size double bedrooms (zip/link, can be twin on request), one with an en-suite bathroom and one with an en-suite shower room, a ground floor double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two ground floor twin bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and two second floor twin bedrooms.

There is also a second floor shower room, a ground floor basin and WC, a first floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburner, a ground floor sauna room with changing facility and shower room, a ground floor games room, a ground floor utility room and covered bike storage.

Outside there is off road parking for eight cars and front seating with country views and a rear patio with furniture and a barbecue.

About the location

LLANBERIS

Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.

Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
